It has been 1 year+ since my last surgery. I did PRK at UIA Kuantan for RM4k both eyes. It was a slow recovery for me as I have quite high power to begin with at 600++ SPH and 400++ CYL for both eyes.

At my 6-month post-op checkup, I only got 6/9 vision. At my 12-month post-op checkup, I am very happy as I manage to get 6/6 vision.

During the recovery, I did not encounter any complications. My eyesight was normal, just slow recovery to 6/6. I was on steroid eyedrops for almost 5 months as advise by the doctor. Artificial tears eyedrops for almost 1 year.

Any of you guys who is still unsure or scared to do Lasik/Smile/prk, just do it NOW. One thing I regret is that I should have done it earlier when I was younger and enjoy the glasses free vision.

Just to update, I did LASEK/PRK at UIA Kuantan in September 2018 for RM4k total both eyes. My power was then quite high around -650 and astig around -400. I did monovision. Today after 4 years my vision is as good as after the operation. Best 4k I've spent.
