i am going for relex smile next week.. but looking at wat had been discussed, i am starting to worry >< cos i cant do ASA due to my work nature.. i can only do ASA/relex on my left and ASA/lasik/relex on my right due to high power on the left. so dilemma wat to choose even until now..

QUOTE(jialat @ Jun 25 2014, 02:36 PM) May be due to uneven corneal curvatures after surgery, it might stay or get worse depending on the wound healing. now that optimax has done enough cases on relex smile and get the correct data for the machine calibration, relex smile should be quite ok if you prefer less tissue damage. Otherwise you can go for both eyes ASA if you are worried of slow vision recovery. I tot ASA got slower vision recovery? Optimax says it takes 2 weeks to actually be able to get rid of the haze, while relex smile 3-4days, lasik the 1-2 days..

QUOTE(jialat @ Jun 25 2014, 02:55 PM) you really believe relex smile can gain faster vision recovery after reading so many complaints here, some still suffering after 4 weeks. oh.. i wish i can do custom laser lasik for both eyes >< maybe i can do custom laser lasik on 1 and relex smile another.. i cant do follow up 2 weeks later if i opt for ASA.. cos tat time i going outstation..

QUOTE(jialat @ Jun 27 2014, 05:12 PM) Its safe, i dont think you need to pay again since you are optimax patient. going for a new surgery at early stage is always a risk. if its really dry eyes, then your vision should improve after putting eye drops. do u think if i go for ASA, can i see anything after the surgery? or i will be like blind for few days tat i might need assistance to go somewhere else? it's weird becos relex smile advantages is less cornea tissue removed, thus less nerve removed, so u will have lesser dry eye problem.. but seems like more ppl getting dry eyes for relex smile.. QUOTE(mogali @ Jul 9 2014, 09:08 AM) Ben, from your previous posts, looks like you did relex smile very recently. How is your vision after surgery, any fogginess and blurriness? Any other issues? Still not super clear, still kinda glaring, foggy hazy i think no more.. But clarity isnt there. Doctor say it takes time. At least 3 months to 6 months to fully stabilized then if still unsatisfied then only discuss about enhancement. But doctor say my cornea is good and power is good. He ask me to be patience and dont worry. Mine just 2nd week only.. So i looking forward to better visual soon.

i have done my annual checkup at optimax. the result is my left eye has -0.25 myopia which is actually and improvement. my right eye still have astig and myopia residual power left, but actually improved too. Kinda glad about it, just tat sometimes the eyes is too dry and the opto there recommend me to use systane ultra. shud i buy more vial one, or the 5ml one is ok actually? becos i found the non perservative one too expensive for daily usage.. The opto only say if use more than 10drops daily will irritate eyes. I dont think i use more than 10drops, probably 1-3 drops in the morning and 1-2 in the afternoon and 1 drop before sleep.

QUOTE(kahwaiCoyG @ Sep 23 2020, 09:42 PM) My friend just had relex in KPJ, and she claims that the recovery speed is decent (next day can see things clearly already and work lol). That is quite true, i did relex smile too, but i still have residual power for astig.. maybe my power is quite higher, 800 myopia and 100+ asti each eyes before Ops Mine i can see properly for far but not near cos maybe eyes need adjust. But now if i watch phone too long, then watch far need sometime to adjust. This post has been edited by ben3003: Sep 23 2020, 11:33 PM
