Hey all.
Was just googling around on LASIK for fun cause I just did mine today at around 3pm. I went to Vista at the curve.
I find their service good. My doctor was Dr Shamala. Very professional and knowledgable. I went for the custom LASIK. Set me back RM 9,996. Just hoping that the high price is an indication of quality. Lol.
At the moment, just woke up from the "compulsory" 4 hour nap. Eyes are still bloodshot from the suction when creating the flap. But I can see clearly now. The blurred vision from when I just got off the operating table has now cleared.
There's no pain, the most uncomfortable part being the suction when creating the flap. The actual correction to the cornea was about 30 seconds per eye. The nurses do a count down so I know how long it took. I was nervous so they gave me a teddy bear to hold. Lol.
Further follow up tomorrow with the doctor.

Can't really remember what's it called but its the premium one that corrects the higher aberrations.
Woke up today. Vision is clear but a bit cloudy. Can't really be in bright places. Or as they say in Chinese "Jian bu de guang" haha

QUOTE(Sandip100 @ Dec 3 2012, 12:18 AM) hey guys this friday i will be going to optimax ttdi for eye checkup and hopefully if they deem me suitable for lasik, im gonna do the surgery on the same day....the girl was saying to me that their package is sumthing like this....rm6000 using blade and rm8000 using laser/bladeless....but according to her i dunt need to go for laser so using blade will be fine for me....and it seems they are having a promotion now for christmas...so using blade is only rm4500 instead of rm6000....gosh feeling excited and nervous at the same time...just cant wait to get rid of my glasses...and also optimax gives a lifetime warranty where if ur power do increase they will do it again for free...the only thing is that i come for a normal eye checkup every year once for rm60 They actually still have blade lasik around? I thought all are now using lasers?

my dilation lasted for about 2-3 hours, enough for the initial check up. after that, i could drive home.
after your procedure, don't do anything. just go home and sleep. the initial few hours after the procedure is most crucial. for the first week, WEAR your shades/visor as often as you can.
i maintain, i'd rather look like an idiot wearing sunglasses everywhere for a week, than to have complications arise and suffer for life.
just to update you good folks, this is my second weeks after having done mine. the subconjunctival hemorrage is clearing, but my eyes are still bloodshot-ish. my vision is great. i dont' have problems with dry eyes, but i drop eye drops anyway every now and then. the glare and halos at night have greatly reduced.
oh, and i would recommend refresh-plus eye drops. selling at rm30.90 at caring pharmacy. i find it better than other brands like blink and tears naturale free. always remember to use preservative free ones.
and good luck for your procedure!

There were not many patients. The equipment also looked old. not very professional overall la. but just my 2 cents la
