Hi everyone, I hope my message can help. I'm a silent reader and have been following this topic for years (about 6/7). I've been contemplating doing LASIK & I have been wearing glasses for close to 30years now.

Special thanks to “Jialat” & this forum for honest opinion & feedback. I’ve decided to go see Dr Ainur for a proper evaluation. Dr Ainur, is a wonderful doctor, super detailed & so comfortable to deal with.

Thank god, I went to see him. I'm not suitable for LASIK as I have abnormal cornea. Possibility of Keratoconus. We will be monitoring my conditions for a year and hopefully, it is stable to do ICL.

If I’m on an impulse to go ahead with LASIK centre, I might just put myself at risk & go blind.

So please don’t save the money, go see Dr Ainur get a proper review. You only have one pair of eyes.

so did you proceed with ICL or hold for now?

i have small thickness of cornea, not able to do normal lasik
Dr suggest me to do ICL too

Only ICL is suitable for my conditions. I can't perform now, need to evaluate/monitor the eyes for at least 1 year to ensure no major changes. My next visit will be in September 2022 and March 2023.

So from this post, you can see that Dr. Ainur is in no hurry to operate on the eyes unless he is absolutely clear that it is safe.

Hi all. I've been reading this thread for 3-4 years now. This year my urge to get lasik has peaked plus I've saved enough money. Just wondering, my eyes power are still increasing eventho I'm 30yo... I have had to change specs every 1-2 years. Last time I changed was 2020 and now my vision has become blurry again. What are my chances for surgery?

Hi there, I change my glasses on a yearly basis. TBH power increased slightly at times and sometimes doesn't. As for the chances, is best for you to get evaluated by qualified doctors. I would recon to go to Dr. Ainur to get it checked out. Oh, remember to wait for our SiFu Jialat feedback eh.
