Find laser eye surgery very intriguing.

Going through this thread I picked up on a few things - almost everyone reports a very positive outcome (just think, with such a cynical society, that so many can report something so positive), and the general belief is that it's safe.

I'm not yet 20, sight is probably not stable yet... but like many my eyes aren't even (3-4 one side, 2-3 one side, diff astigmatism in both). Imperfect vision aside, there's also all the hassle when picking out sunglasses or lenses... rain, watching movies, theme park rides, swimming, beaches, sleeping, any sport or physical activity, all the complications associated with contacts... the list goes on.

Would like to enjoy the benefits of such surgery asap - I understand that the myopia returns after a while, if not in a few years to a decade then longer. But, having been myopic for almost a decade, doing the surgery definitely makes sense (if you can have near perfect sight for many years, and then it returns a little, how bad can it be? You might not need glasses for it specifically, or you might already need glasses because of age or something).

No one's reported anything remotely disastrous. For me, things like glare and halos for light happen anyway (more if you are seeing without lenses). Dry eye does sound like a concern, but most people here have gotten rid of it, at least after waiting several months.

But yeah, I understand it's something that you don't want to do more than once - and that most problems (which rarely happen) can be corrected. Hopefully my eyes work for it.

Keep us updated. Very inclined to visit for some consultations within the year.
