Hi all. Had been thinking to do these lasik surgery stuff for years and both my specs broken few days back which made me feel like it's really time for lasik then haha.. Anyway after reading all these posts, I had called and try to book a checking tomorrow at Optimax but the response they gave me are really uncomfortable as they did not explain much and just kept asking me to go tomorrow and if convenient then do the surgery tomorrow. I called Advance Vision and the guy over the phone explain in more details about the checking stuff and pricing. So in the end I opt for the checking tomorrow at Advance Vision and hope I get good news after the checkup!

Did my Lasik Surgery last week Friday at Advanced Vision... Everything went smoothly. Pretty short the surgery and the scariest part is when doc creating the flap part... The rest was fine. Took me almost a day for 2 part done. Part 1 - Consultation (done last 2 week), Part 2 - Eyes Dilation and Final Checkup (Sameday as Surgery) and Part 3 Lasik Surgery.

Part 2 and 3 took me waited whole day, morning dilation, afternoon surgery. They provided sleeping pill n painkiller. After that, straight go back home n sleep. At first eyes quite itchy and irritate, swallow the pills and sleep tru the night. Next day, eyes opening, slightly gaining some vision, still blurry but able to see ... On the third day, eyes able to view object sharp n clear but on n off ... Probably it stablize later on.

Bought a branded polarized sunglasses from 1U recently, despite many free gifts of Christmas season, it really helps to improve vision especially on a bright morning days n some at nights, please dont go for Pasar Malam type of sunglass, it will damage your eyes more...

Overall, satisfied with their services...

guys, i went for lasik suitability check at Vista just now. The consultant told us (my gf and myself) that standard lasik is not suitable for us due to high power. Hence the process will take more than 60 seconds and normally the doctor will not approve the operation. She was saying that we both only can opt for the custom lasik which will be faster. Anyone encounter something similar? Any idea if this is the standard operation for all the other clinics? i really hope that i do not need to opt for the custom lasik as it is much more expensive sad.gif

on a side note, anyone know if Advance Vision and Centre for Sight offer custom lasik as well and how much does it cost?

Regards.

Just did check at vista last week. Doc said my power is too high (left -10.0 astig 300, right -8.0 astig 250) if do LASIK then need to remove 160 microns of tissue. International limit is only 150 microns. sad.gif
Was advised to do iCL ( implantable contact lens). Anyone did it before? Any comment?
