How do you manage to decrease your eye power?
Any tips? hmm.gif

u got it wrong... my power did not reduce on its own

the previous optical shop prescribed me high power lenses (which was more than my actual power needed)

surprisingly, i have changed many lenses/frames from various optical shop but yet no one reduced the power of my lenses.... i wonder why

so i dont know how long i have been using these high prescription lenses ...could be more than 20 yrs.... ohmy.gif

however the recent check with the eye dr revealed my actual power and i am now on a trial period wearing a lower prescription lenses (close to what i actually need) ...which is way much lower...

if i can accept this and see well (i was told to try for a month or 2), then they can proceed with this power for my lasik.

2nd day today.... still blur for far objects... but better than yesterday....

so moral of the story, get a second opinion from an eye dr or jialat for anything to do with eyes...

yup... all charges for the details test.

but only optimax charged for the first qualifying test, though that can be credited to the bill if lasik is done there.

really? the eye test charges will be refunded if lasik is done?

Hopefully, it will get better though my package is lifetime warranty. Not keen to do enhancement if given the choice.

how is the lifetime warranty stated? any b/w?

Hi, if your eye power has stabilised for past 2 years then its ok to do lasik now. If still unstable then better dont do it first.

After lasik, your eyes will become more dry and if u work long hours then u need to put eyedrop frequently.

Hi Jialat,
i did my all custom all laser lasik on October 2013 with your referral letter in Penang Optimax... rclxms.gif
However i did not follow up the annual check up after the 2nd yr bcse they did not call me up for an appointment...
Am i still covered under the warranty (future enchancement)?

Anyway everything was perfect until now sad.gif

I cannot see/focus on close visions now. Having difficulties reading close and frequent headache.
Is this normal as age goes by? (or 4 1/2 years after lasik)

What are my options now?
i havent gone for any eye check up yet to confirm my eye condition

Recommended to redo my lasik?

Hi, once u skipped the annual check up then they void the lifetime warranty.

You will struggle to see near clearly if you are above 40 year old. You just need a reading glasses, no need redo any surgery.
*
ic .. thanks

guess will need a pair of reading glasses cry.gif

You can consult a general ophthalmologist like dr stephen, i would prefer to get a corneal specialist to do the refractive surgery if its for my own eyes.

I recommend Dr Ainur Rahman in Ara damansara medical centre for lasik, he has very good record and feedback from many patients. You can search for it from other members in lowyat forum, if you want some discount on doctor consultation fee, just pm me name and contact number, i can pass to his nurse.

Since u have seen optimax Dr, you can compare who is much detailed and thorough. thanks

hi jialat. did my lasik thru you reco letter way back in 2013. optimax penang.

currently my vision has changed a bit. now i require reading glasses sad.gif ... age over 40 . i can still read without the glasses but not so clear. Any work upclose under the car or repairing something also need depend on the glasses. very inconvenient at times.

what are the alternative options i have? can i redo the lasik to improve the vision? thanks
