Actually if you observe the current site condition, it is not so conducive for the SRJK© to be completed and receive students either this or next year. It is so dusty and noisy and I think parents will think twice to send their kids there.

It will be more appropriate when the Pr1ma housing are half way construction.

Not related to topic but related to chinese schools. When I read comments from FB, there's this generalization among Malays that SRJK schools are racist and is hampering national integration.
My point of view is that chinese would like their kids to learn to read and write chinese and the most affordable option is sending them to chinese schools. That's all.
My preference is actually to send my kid to SRK school as I was from these schools but I won't because I don't want my kid to waste time on the bloody useless pendidikan moral lessons taught daily 6 + 5 years in school. It's better to learn an extra language than the so called pendidikan moral. Kementerian pendidikan should look into this point in order to make them more attractive.

Pendidikan Moral is one of the toughest (if not toughest) subjects to score in SPM.

“MCT not only donated the land but are also the top three contributors towards the school building funds. We hope other developers, especially those with projects in Cyberjaya near the school, can follow suit,” he said, adding that some developers were using the school as a selling point to attract buyers.

Come on MCT the land for school is not donated by you but make mandatory to set aside by local government.
Anyway good for them to donate money and raise funds to build more chinese school, win win for residents and developer. The other developers mean who ha? SP Setia, Mah Sing? Sunsuria?

If you think the school will benefit you, just do bit of your part rather than point fingers why they couldn't do more.

My 2cents to get things moving.

jibby also used the word 'donation' whoa......illegal meh these days???

all developers profit motivated lah.....by building cina school will help their sales too.....

they are not philantrophists......by any stretch,,,all got motive de.

to raise 5mio.....even if every residents or would be residents donate rm50 each...you still need 100,000 residents.......

where to find 100,000 in cyber? if you deducted that only cina will donate???
*
Regardless what is their own agenda, if it benefit the residents, the residents should support it.

There may not 100,000 ppl will donate to the clause but with each ppl donating, the step is getting closer to get the school built. Furthermore, some will donate more.

Beancounter I think you are being too pessimistic la! laugh.gif

Lakefront is located on 60acre of land. Some other bigger land such as Sejati, Symphony Hills and SEG are not required to build public facilities.

I do not think it is obligation from MCT's part to contribute the land for the SRJK Chinese. 6acre or 10% of the land allocated for school. If MCT decided to develop the land, it can easily generate RM400-500m GDP on it.

But I agree with Beancounter. It is probably more of MCT's agenda to promote and sell their properties in LakeFront.

The Chinese school not on CS de..

Also.. they committed to build the school even before they launch CS..

It will make more sense to build in CS if their intention is to promote CS.
