Still lack of RM5m construction fund, should be completed by July 2017 and ready to use by 2018, nothing mentioned about got any contribution from MCT, Mah Seng, SP Setia etc. http://www.guangming.com.my/node/271952?tid=7

QUOTE(HarpArtist @ Mar 1 2016, 05:55 PM) why school projects in malaysia always delay priority not given properly. I feel very lucky because my place Bandar Sri Sendayan's developer really keep his word allocate land and sponsor all expenses (RM10m) to build a well-equipped chinese school in one year time unlike MCT only good in making publicity but didn't contribute when money is needed. QUOTE(nexona88 @ Mar 4 2016, 01:11 PM) hope they get the donation for balance rm 5mil faster. if not more excuse like material cost went up, so needed more time to build the school MCT BERHAD and SJK © Union will be organising a fundraising bazaar on May 21 and 22, from 11am to 4pm, at Lakefront Residence sales gallery in Persiaran Semarak Api, Cyberjaya to raise funds for the school’s construction. During the two-day event, organisers will also have a pre-registration survey to compile data of new students. It will then be submitted to the state education department to kick-start the new student enrolment in 2018. http://www.thestar.com.my/metro/community/...r-this-weekend/

“MCT not only donated the land but are also the top three contributors towards the school building funds. We hope other developers, especially those with projects in Cyberjaya near the school, can follow suit,” he said, adding that some developers were using the school as a selling point to attract buyers. http://www.thestar.com.my/metro/community/...r-this-weekend/Come on MCT the land for school is not donated by you but make mandatory to set aside by local government. Anyway good for them to donate money and raise funds to build more chinese school, win win for residents and developer. The other developers mean who ha? SP Setia, Mah Sing? Sunsuria?

QUOTE(gks @ May 18 2016, 12:06 PM) I am referring to anyone who want the school to happen. I see, most developer said they have "donated" land for school that wash hand in fact this is local government regulation to make developer to set aside land for the residents as such this is WRONG to say them DONATE the land. Anyway MCT still good at leasst they spearhead the building fund donation. So far only very few developers in Klang Valley willing to donate million(s) to build chinese school, off hand I can remember Gamuda and IOI did contribute few million for relocation of SJK C Chung Hwa Klang in Kota Kemuning and SJK C Ladang Harcoff in Puchong, even so public especially the local communities also donated millions then only these schools materialised. Cyberjaya buyer should contribute too, this school should help in property appreciation.

QUOTE(BEANCOUNTER @ May 18 2016, 12:30 PM) jibby also used the word 'donation' whoa......illegal meh these days??? all developers profit motivated lah.....by building cina school will help their sales too..... they are not philantrophists......by any stretch,,,all got motive de. to raise 5mio.....even if every residents or would be residents donate rm50 each...you still need 100,000 residents....... where to find 100,000 in cyber? if you deducted that only cina will donate??? The only developer that need no public donation to build chinese school as far as I know is Matrix Concept Holding Berhad for SJK C Kampung Baru Parit Tinggi in Bandar Sri Sendayan, RM10million spent for school equipped with 32 classrooms, multi-purpose hall, audio-visual theatre etc http://www.enanyang.my/news/20151224/%E6%8...8B%9B%E7%94%9F/

QUOTE(gks @ May 18 2016, 01:23 PM) Lakefront is located on 60acre of land. Some other bigger land such as Sejati, Symphony Hills and SEG are not required to build public facilities. I do not think it is obligation from MCT's part to contribute the land for the SRJK Chinese. 6acre or 10% of the land allocated for school. If MCT decided to develop the land, it can easily generate RM400-500m GDP on it. But I agree with Beancounter. It is probably more of MCT's agenda to promote and sell their properties in LakeFront. Cybersouth is 417 acres lah Cybersouth - An upcoming sprawling 417-acre township, weaving together wholesome residential, vibrant commercial and recreational zones. An expansive integrated development project located in "The Golden Triangle" of the Southern Klang Valley, Cybersouth will form the new centre of gravity, establishing itself as the anchor point to Cyberjaya, Putrajaya, KLIA and other affluent townships. http://www.mct.com.my/our-projects/cybersouth

As far as I remember for housing project exceed 1,000 units a primary school is required under housing guideline, here the guideline I found from the net. Sekolah rendah a) 1 tapak sekolah bagi setiap 1250 unit kediaman atau 5600 penduduk b) Luas tapak minima adalah 4 ekar c) Tapak sekolah perlu direzabkan kepada Kerajaan Negeri mengikut konsesi perjanjian sama ada tapak berkenaan hendak dibeli atau dijual http://s-w5.mpsp.gov.my/garispanduan/lampi...0BUMIPUTERA.pdfThis explain why project near by with bigger land but lesser unit need not to provide land for school, understand that total unit for MCT 's Lakefront exceed 2,000 units. QUOTE(nexona88 @ May 20 2016, 04:29 PM) don't forget to support by donating Only RM55,000 collected but the shortfall is RM5 million Apart from MCT none of the 30+ developers of the near by project contribute for the school, but these developers promote their projects near by a upcoming Chinese school MCT在为期两天的义卖会总共为联合华小筹获5万5千令吉。 http://mykampung.sinchew.com.my/node/418529
