It was leaking. Their mech said over filled of the fluid for the to the housing coz the fluid is quite thick. If is the pistion, is the like water type. And now i've change the sports springs to linear springs, 4kg/mm and front remain sport springs. Kinda weird feeling when driving back. |

QUOTE(XCInspire @ Apr 5 2013, 10:33 PM) Wah, quite expensive and those looked kinda diy cut out pieces with little though of ventilation and holes below to drain any oil/water in case of any leaks occurs... The el cheapo one had proper openings n holes in case any leak springs, it will show below on the floor. At least u know. Yeah, it sure looked like DIY. Okay, orsen skid plate will be the next mod. Happy mountain climbing.Deng, can't sleep... need to nap... need to nap... |

QUOTE(l3ryan @ Apr 9 2013, 03:25 PM) ya i noticed it after i installed Titan. Bryan,i asked uncle richard and he said it's perfectly normal as not all cars are left right perfectly symmetrical hence there will always be some difference in these little details, he say it does not affect the performance of the shocks and the height can be adjusted accordingly so the 4 sides fender space will be the same... Hmm, sorry i think i have missed out something on the previous post. Zoomed in closer to the pic, it shouldn't be any gap between the spring and the top white silicon. |

QUOTE(botack @ Apr 12 2013, 04:28 PM) Titan is custom shocks..you need patience in order for them to really custom according to your driving style, the amount of load that you will be carrying and also the road conditions that you will endure. Besides titan, you can opt tor kyb excel G, Gab, tein, lancer stock suspension, RCS, BC racing just to name a few. Bots,If you wanted something like titan, then the next best thing is RCS in which will cost you 4.8k brand new for the street version and 12k for the track and rally version which has a 3way active damping technology (don't ask me what is that, me 12yo nubis kubis..try googling for that) so, these are my recommendations to you. FYI, most of us in the titan GB group have noises coming out from our abs. But those guys in titan will not take you for granted. They will entertain all you queries during office hours. Mind you, if you opt for titan, be prepared to go there a couple of times because, as I told you, its a custom shocks. You need to tune it a couple of times before you get to a point where you will be very satisfied with your settings. Cheers. HOw about CLAWS suspensioN? It is inverted monotube for front and monotube for the rear. Its also full-body shift for height. I heard that can do customization and tuning as well. QUOTE(botack @ Apr 12 2013, 04:37 PM) Previously got 1 guy here wanna go for claw also. He even went to see the actual shocks. But I think because at that point, the gb price is too good to be true with the amount of free service and free tunings, he opt for titan. Our titan also is the same as claw. Front inverted monotube and rear is monotube. Ohh, i see. But Titan is not full-body shift for the rear and the front seems like very weird way to adjust the height. It uses the bottom shock case to clam it to the shock itself. There's no way we can go to any alignment shop to do it. Their alignment method is way 2 old fashion and not accurate. Every go there to adjust or tune, must go back to my regular to readjust all the alignment again. |

QUOTE(botack @ Apr 12 2013, 05:06 PM) About the alignment issue, I cannot comment on that.. The whole shock absorber cylinder body is shifted vertically by adjusting the cylinder body housing. So the height of the vehicle can be adjusted, without affecting the spring damping rate and spring traveling distance. How do you know that titan is not full body shift? Mind explaining more on this? Example: ![]() For Titan, only the front is full body shift for height. Where as the rear isn't. It shift the height by compressing the springs to lowered the height. IN which the travel distance of the spring is affectable. Which is not good. This post has been edited by k00Lric: Apr 12 2013, 05:20 PM |
