QUOTE(raptor_cZn @ Apr 9 2013, 02:05 PM) Still trying to get used to TKL. I realized that I keep trying to hit the enter key on the numpad which is not there And not quite used to the directional keys being right on the edge of the board. That might be a concern to me too, I've ben so used to 100%'s a 60% or 75% would set me off for a few weeks. Althought i AM still looking forward to my incoming Poker 2 at the end of this month

I personally think the cases are purely a aesthetic purchase. There's no NEED to get one, but it's worth the money

The first two things you will have to consider is: 1) Size of the keyboard: 100%, 75%, 60% -> This is regarding whether you want a full sized keyboard, or a keyboard without numpad, or a keyboard without numpad and F-rows 2) Switches Well you can get most of the information on the front page of this thread. And there's this: http://www.overclock.net/t/491752/mechanical-keyboard-guide

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Apr 15 2013, 05:14 PM) but not cheap though. Cherry corp quality keycaps have been out of production for ages. The only way to get them is to harvest from old keyboards, or from 2nd hand key cap trading. newer made quality keycaps also aren't cheap, because everything these days is mass produced so not many bother doing them. so people made custom orders, and it only gets cheaper if more people order together in places like geekhack. Although to be fair, there has been somewhat of a resurgence of abs and pbt being used in some mech keyboard models. But whether they also now do double shots and dye sublimated (other than topre), i'm not sure since i haven't been actively looking. Scared i get keyboard poisoned again if i check whats our there now. Oh look Moogle's back! Was wondering where you disappeared to

If you're interested in 60% (without F keys) Heavy Arm is shipping in Poker 2, you can check that out.

Well from what I can tell the 75% and 60%'s surge in popularity only started early this year, maybe some of the orderers were hesitant as well, being a contributory factor along with Vortex's announcement to make them drop the pre-order.
