yes it is very slim..
currently we have 600 over students in foundation, and they will be competing for roughly 400 seats, even own foundation students have not enough seats.
*
That's actually VERY lax for medical/dental school standards. Most reputable schools have admission rates below 10% and offer little to no advantages to their own foundation students.

hey guys! thanks alot for all the tips and info by the super seniors and everyone else notworthy.gif

i've just finished my spm and im waiting for my results. im torn between applying for aimst or ucsi or manipal or msu. i've heard alot of good things about aimst but there are a group of ppl who discourage me from going for it saying there are politics involved. money swindling and all that.
so can anyone clear my doubts about this pls?

and since aimst has recently been recognized by WHO countries, does that mean we can work overseas? or do we have to go through horribly long process?

alternatively, is manipal a better option?

i realllllyyyy appreciate ur help. hates off to everyone! smile.gif

btw im planning on doing medicine. so i'll be one of the 600 foundation students enrolling this year biggrin.gif

400 is including medicine,dentistry and pharmacy,they accept a level,stpm students also
i highly doubt on ur second statement, even monash/nottingham malaysia campus give priority to their foundation students.Lets imagine,i done ur foundation and u r not going to enroll me into the degree, then where shall i go?since no other U will accept ur sh*t foundation. We cant blame the school for this. However, those who doesn't meet the minimum requirements have to leave aimst or retake of coz

aimst mbbs degree is recognized by WHO,which means the students can pursue their master/phd in other countries
if u wan to work overseas,it really depends on the country's policy, different country their policy varies,u might have to take exam or etc

nope,quite far..
u will have to take taxi(rm15 per ride),to the bus station, buy a bus ticket to taiping and it's the same if u r from taiping to aimst
since she is a girl,i would suggest her to have frens accompany her.

Hey guys! I'm an AIMST hopeful waiting for my results... I was wondering if there's any train services from SP to KL? (or from Penang for that matter...) I'm living in Klang, and taking the train sure beats driving the 400+ km...
