Dear seniors, i would like to know how the CAs are assessed for medic????are they something like foundation where every semesters are important for the final cumulative marks that will determine whether a person is able to go through to year 2??????How the CAs are conducted????thanks in advance.......

Each year has a different system. For year 1, there will be 4 CAs in a year, excluding the finals after CA4 which is known as the Professional Exam I. Basically for finals, 5 theory papers (13 subjs) and 1 theory paper (OSPE) are there. And yes, it is important as 30% will be cumulated and combined with your final papers which will carry 70%. To get through to year 2, you need to get at least a pass or 50% of your final paper plus cumulative CA marks. And CAs are internal exams which questions are set by the faculty members, where else finals paper are evaluated by external examiners. You should know more when you enrol into the programme. smile.gif

hey guys. I'm really confused now. JPA is sending me to AIMST to do my foundation in science then MBBS.

1.But i heard that foundation in science studnts hard to get place in aimst to do mbbs. Is that true?

2. How is the university? Is is good academically for MBBS?

3. How is the hostel? Coz i heard alot of insults about AiMST'S hostel and it's food.

4.do i have to go for pre-mbbs prgrmme even if i do foundation in science? I mean is it compulsory to do pre-mbbs?

5. is it hard for july intake foundation students to get entry to mbbs aimst even if we get good results?

Seriously hoping all bad things i heard bout AIMST is false. Haihh

one more ques. Is there such thing as 7 eleven inside the campus? And, is there any convenient shp or mamak stall like tat? Tq very much...

1. foundation in science student are easier to get easier place than outsider

2. its a great uni except lack of entertainment but nearby we hv cinema in sp...good as its accredited by jpa and mmc...

3. hostel is newly build... no worries...just hav to worry how u guys maintain it =D.. food no comments... can eat la.. >.< travel to town if .....

4. this year onwards no pre mbbs....

5. if u get excellent result, why cant u enter... but many july plp are always worried

no 7 eleven... but there is a convenient shop, a cafeteria, book store, barber and cimb atm machine...

What are the chances that outsiders get into AISMT? I'm a STPM leaver with a CGPA of 3.84. I'm waiting on UPU but if I don't get anything, AIMST is a uni i'll seriously consider to pursue my MBBS. however, i heard entering is tough, outsiders chances are pretty slim and it's based more on first come first serve basis.. I don't want to fail to get a place in UPU and later in AIMST..

u're right.. it works on 1st come 1st served basis, as it depends on the seats availability... Though priority is usually given 1st to aimst students, and chances for outsider is relatively slimmer,, for ur case, i think it's worth giving it a try, as u did quite well for ur stpm... smile.gif Good luck !!
