My preve IAFM+ CVT clocked 1500km now.

before 1000 service, my fuel consumption can go down as low as 7.8km/100km. Now, the same driving style fuel consumption is stick at 8.6km/100km no matter how i drive. I thought after service the consumption should be lower? but in fact it goes up. Also, I don't think my preve did update any software during 1k service. My model is 2012 model with series number 4xxx. Is this a lot of problem with this badge?

Bro.. First of all I think you made a mistakes on calculating your FC. Do you mean 7.8km / litter? If that is the case, then the more the better because for every litter of Fuel you go longer distance.

If you are saying 7.8L / 100km then is different case. If you're having 7.8L or in fact 8.6L / 100KM. You instead have quite a good consumption with only 0.14 and 0.16 cents / KM using RON95 which is a good thing - Almost like Vios FC.
*
Ya I made a mistake. It is actually 8.6L / 100km. So yesterday I pump in full tank. The reading show I can go 700km to empty tank with Ron 95 @ RM 76

I'm not sure whether is high as before this I can get 7.8L/100km. But it seems i manage to get a good fuel consumption.

please check whether they change the the same rating oil coz factory fitting oil is mineral 10w 30.

2ndly, check whether u r checking the average fc@instance one, n remember to reset it coz the reading will be average of since day one unless u reset it.

3rdly, just probability, even with same driving habit n route, but its not the same idling time coz idling time also can cause up to 30% diff in fc(including idling at traffic which not the same everyday), so,there willl be a plus minus for every fc.1 to 2 litre plus minus, is normal.

4thly, another way to get better mileage that even me dont do it nowadays is to wind up windows, driving less than 90kmh :-). Have u guys try this out in cfe? Its efficient, but not comfortable. Thats why i never suggest this method. But for fun sake to check how much the compressor take out the power n fc, give it a try for a full tank.

I did not reset the reading.
By the way 1k service I used syntium 1000 full synthetic i guess as recommended by the SC.

I don't think they do any reset ECU / TCU, tuning for my car during 1k service. As I went there on Saturday.

Was told Saturday only can do oil change. So I guess no tuning will be perform.

I did my 10k service with syntium 1000 at SC.

I also do tyre balancing, alignment and rotation for the first time.

I noticed, after that my steering vibrate after 100km/h, i went again do the balancing, again it also vibrate...why ar?? Is that because of the tyre rotation or because of the tyre inbalance. Everything stock.

Also the SC told me there is a recall on the power window coil spring on driver site. waiting the parts now.

also was told to top up engine treatment for better protection but i refuse.

Can we just order the hood insulation from SC? to reduce the engine noise? will that help? my car does not come with insulation iafm+ CVT

there's a recall on driver side power window coil spring???...different than the previous power window regulator right?..
*
Ya, was told coil spring at the driver side power windows. If you realize, when wind down the windows you will heard some noise " klak klak ".. that is the culprit.

I have not encounter window regulator..

mine is 4xxx series.

If the steering vibration appear after 100km/h even with good tyre balancing/alignment (rotation doesn't matter, its about evenly out the wear and tear), it most likely have to be uneven wear of the tyre. Try visual inspect the tyre yourself, if the uneven wear is serious, u can easily notice it.

When was the last time you had tyre balancing and wheel alignment?
To get more confirmation, get someone who are good in spotting it out and check for you. Else, snap a photo and upload here.

Hood insulation? Surely you can but I would go for third party sound/heat insulation instead. Cheaper and should be more effective.
Eg, something like this. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2262458&hl=
* I would go for Syntium 3000 is budget allow. Its much better than Syntium 1000 in term of performance.
*
Yes, this is my first time do the alignment, balancing and tyre rotation. I have no idea of the petronas oil as it was recommended by the SC. In fact they also did sell Shell helix range oil. I should go for helix ultra instead of syntium but not realize it until I saw there are empty bottles there.

I did twice the balancing. but still vibrate. Is that because of too much air the pump in? I did not check the pressure yet. previously i pump in 32.

Ask for 2nd opinion.
Send to another shop for wheel balancing, see what they comment on your tyre.

I want to know if u have tyre uneven wear issue, if u have, vibration is NORMAL.
*
okay, will try source for another tyre shop.. thanks.

I owned a 2012 Preve IAFM+ CVT. about 14k km on meter
I found that my steering vibrate when i accelerate and also my gearbox sound seems like quite rough and lagging from initial acceleration. Sometime jerking too.

I believe my car still stock without any ECU or TCU remapped.

compare to my friend 2013 September preve IAFM+ CVT. His car are much smoother and less noise and vibration.

Is there any difference in terms or the manufacturer has do something on the new Preve? What I can do ?

thanks
