many reasons preve is heavy, due to engine construction,cast iron vs alluminium, suspension setup,power steering mechanism,hydraulic vs electric,multilink vs lighter torsion beam,n homogolation for unece requirement.

due to strict homogolation,its bcome heavier. eg,honda civic euro hatch 1.8,is heavier than honda civic asia or us version 2.0, even generally speaking,hatch suppose to be lighter than sedan sibling. same case as sedan elantra vs hatch i30.

many methods have been done to reduce its weight,but of course they r many other methods also can be used,but it incurr cost that increase the whole cost of developing preve n total cost of the car unless prtn has economy of scales rite now.

bcm,hydroforming subframe,hpf,using cvt r ways used to reduce its weight.

but heard that upcoming p230a n latter will use nfe using eps module.

seriously, proton is never been such a big prob.. its just the percentage of people using the car is more in malaysia, thus can be seen as giving more problem.

so as 1st time buyers, when they buy proton and their power window spoilt or the are creaking/ rattling sound, door handle broken, they conclude proton is not good and swear that would not buy a proton again.. when they buy any jap/kimchi/conti, when they are having same prob, just keep quiet la.. so expensive they buy what..

hmm..i somehow feel preve's interior nicer as the "wood" panel thingy makes the cabin feels darker...unless u prefer ur interior to be brighter and silver-ish....and the right side button beside the HU, there's 1 more extra button which can be pressed right?
anyway...can we buy the suprima s HU and install on preve kah?. ..will the cable thingy be the same?

How much can distributor profit be. Proton vehicles are not subjected to high import/sales tax by government since it is Malaysian-owned, and yet they are selling at far higher prices. My point is Proton(or Perodua) could be more competitive even though the prices are already seen to be "competitive" when compared to other imported vehicles. AFter all, it is a Malaysian vehicle made for Malaysians.
