QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Aug 20 2013, 07:54 AM) Not too sure about service centres around PJ but you got to try the Proton Edar Service of Centre Excellence at least once, the biggest Proton SC along Kesas highway when you turn down from the USJ Persiaran Kewajipan intersection. Big lounge and seating area with comfortable seats and all other common facilities. They even have free shuttle service for those who don't want to wait at the SC for the car. Free shuttle service to Subang Parade. Aiyah... why not the Preve Turbo. Anyway, enjoy. Heheh i would love the turbo, and i've seen your posts can see you're very happy with the turbo! Glad for you. But few things kept me from the turbo: 1) maintenance cost 2) more expensive than the exec around 10k .. And honestly, when i test drove it.. It was quite slow. No offense... But no doubt the CFE engine is good to push this heavy car. It was smooth, but slow.. Just my opinion ya.. So i guess i should be expecting an even slower ride with the Exec.. QUOTE(vikneswaranc_17 @ Aug 20 2013, 10:55 AM) heard of this branch too .. are they efficient in their servicing/warranty claims? |

Bros.. Anyone know how to remove the Preve front grille? I manage to remove the top 4 clips... But can't get it off the bumper.. I don't dare to pull out cause don't know how is the bottom clips like, don't want to accidentally break it off

Is it just mine. . or is the Preve's exhaust note a little slightly bassy than other car's normal stock exhaust?
And it gets very bassy when full throttle? Whole car seems to vibrate... This is the Executive model |

QUOTE(mat79 @ Sep 12 2013, 07:47 PM) herm, pwrwindow isnt a problem actually. fuel, old saga,4at cnsume more than new cvt. unless u rev@drive punch cvt like auto, then it will suffer same faith. ill already posted on punch cvt at saga thread. u can look it up. on average, rm 50@1.90 city driving,300 to 350km. highway,350 to 450km,depend on speed, legal speed, average 400km.mix driving, 320 to 370km. but drive like auto gearbox, it will only last 250km for rm50@1.90. i just did my first 1000km service only.. Before the 1st service, i went on highway drive from KL to Johor and back, had to pump RM100 petrol for the whole journey (rm50 each time before departure) Was driving around 140-160kmh from KL > Johor . Coming back time around 100-120kmh Johor > KL . Something wrong with my preve FC ? |

I have to agree with mat79 and viknes.
I appreciate your post mat79, cause I learnt more about the CVT gearbox. And after reading your post this morning, i tried driving with the "let car move first before pressing on accelerator pedal" this afternoon.. It is slow and relaxed, but like you said, it's all up to us whether to anticipate the front cars moving, and follow suit... So far no horn yet. Cause the car behind me usually end up slower to follow me anyway, so they must be daydreaming instead. So, to those who saying we cause jam by using this slow acceleration from stand-still method for CVT gearbox.... Suck on it. |

Anybody did their servicing at Proton Seksyen 13 before?
I got a feeling i may have been cheated. Do you get back the remaining engine oil container after your service at Seksyen 13? I did my first service there. The person in charge 'Zul' tried to bluff me by saying it is a MUST to buy the 'magnetrap' product for the oil filter for 1st service. I declined. He did not seem happy. I told him about my car problems. He said will check. Here's the thing.. I forgot to mark my oil filter before sending it in. When I got back my car he said everything was checked n done. (Later I check those parts, some not even adjusted, they just tell me it's adjusted.) I did not not get back my remaining engine oil container. 1week later now I check my engine oil, it is already starting to turn brown-ish .. Should I be concerned that they did not even change my engine oil and oil filter? How do I even know if they did not change anything? Maybe this brownish oil is actually my old oil? New oil shouldn't turn light brown so fast, right? I'm just worried, as I know engine may have metal pieces after run in , and engine oil needs to be changed in 1st service to clear those pieces.. If they did not change, and my engine keeps running with this old engine oil until 10,000km??? Sure have problem right? Really regret going there. Should have gone to jln227 branch instead. |

QUOTE(ropaisoft @ Sep 16 2013, 10:40 AM) QUOTE(mat79 @ Sep 16 2013, 12:09 PM) please report ur case by calling or emailing wecare asap, especially on compulsory buying magnettrap. its recommended, not compulsory though. cant force the customer. but the good thing is he asked u 1st b4 installing. My slip didn't say barrel or container, just says 'Syntiun 800 SM 10w/40 - 4L' .. So I'm guessing it's 4Litres container. But I didn't get back my remainder, so I have no idea whether it was really changed.for engine oil, some use barrel, some use bottle in branch sc. normally stated in the slip. He didn't really ask me about the magnetrap, but he didn't force it either. Its ok, I'll let that slip for now.. Will see if they try to sell it again next time. - Anyone have any experience with jalan227 branch? Will it be better than Seksyen 13 or same? |

Sporty, yes start the engine slower.
For me (without push start), if I directly put the key in and crank, I will get the low battery sign too. Now I usually put key in, let the 'wrrrr' sound go off first before I crank. No more low battery sign anymore so far. |
