QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Sep 7 2013, 01:12 AM) how you start the car? coz if you follow the procedure below, the chances of the button display thing comes out will be close to none. Insert key fob Press start button once to turn on all accy press on brake Press start button again to start the engine Only press start button when the light turns green on both occasion. i did exactly like dat..tekan break and then start the engine. i noticed it may due to the way how i push the button. will try to regenerate the error by trying different ways of pressing the button. owh, one more i'll make sure the light turns green....anyway, many thanks

QUOTE(clrtout @ Sep 9 2013, 03:18 PM) guys, since its raining heavily this couple of week, my preve windows start to fog again. its freaking annoying and dangerous... was thinking to use those anti fog from rain x n glaco to help eliminate these issues. is it advisable? thanks you may refer to the owner's manual book page 116 how to control fog in your car.

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Sep 18 2013, 10:18 AM) There is no more sound coming from the rear of my car already. No annoying rattling sound and pretty quiet so far, though my car is still new, only about 2 months old. CVT and Turbo engine sound is normal in the Preve Turbo, though similarly have got used to it. Only when one is already used to driving quiet cars, then he will feel the Preve Turbo to be little noisy. The Preve Turbo compensates with excellent delivery power and acceleration though. I recently let a friend of mine tested the car and he commented that the car's acceleration is powerful. before i put the pen down to choose Preve CFE, i know the car has rough engine sound. when i test drive the car, i ask the SA about the sound and he said it is normal for CFE. If i want a bit silent engine, i can opt for Exec. So after decided to buy my firered, i dont put high expectation and just except her limitation and hope she will be nice for me for at least for 7 years. i just dont understand why other people out there complaint about the sound after they got the car. didnt they drove the car first before they buy?

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Sep 21 2013, 07:41 AM) I presume you had chosen the Preve Turbo? I have not tried the low-spec Preve but personally I feel that although the Preve Turbo's engine is louder than the low spec model, it has many other more useful features(auto cruise, GPS etc.) and most importantly the powerful acceleration which is useful for everyday drivability. The strengths and fully-loaded features in the Preve Turbo outweigh all other weaknesses. There are not many cars at around RM70k in the class of Preve Turbo that have Auto cruise control feature, and to me the Preve Turbo really represents good value if compared to other vehicles. I just bought the Ford Focus Titanium, and at RM115k it does not have Auto cruise feature, a feature which I think is quite useful. I will just have to live with it. The higher spec version of the Focus which has this feature is not worth it to me at an additional premium of RM10k. Having said that, I just got to know that the actual value of the RM115k Ford Focus is only RM34,977 from the shipping invoice from Thailand. Shipping from Thailand to Malaysia comes up to RM1472 and insurance RM300+. So all in the RM115k Focus is still around RM36k+. In this sense the Proton Preve Turbo is seen as good value due to the high sales/import tax imposed by the government to imported cars. Enjoy your Preve Turbo. It is surely one solid car. I crave for the Auto Cruise control feature of the Preve Turbo that is missing in the Focus. Anyway, not a big deal. yerp, mine is turbo version. ford focus is one of my favorite cars. for me it is an alien on malaysian road. accompanying my friend to test drive the car few months back was a precious experience. because budget constraint, my friend choose peug 308T. if i have budget to buy honda civic, definitely i'll choose focus titanium+.
