QUOTE(hbgoh57 @ Apr 21 2013, 11:22 PM) My average speed on the meter is 27.If i drive in kl i think its gonna be worse.somehow the difference in fc in jam and highway its a lot..dunno why..my previous waja doesnt deviate much..at most 2cents/km but for this car it can be up to 6 7 cents/km. It's a heavy car. Need more fuel to move from stationary. But once moving it feels lighter and with cvt, at high speed it saves fuel. Before remap i can go max 700km on highway. After remap max i can do is 640 km on 1 full tank. KL traffic i can get about 9.5l/100km before remap. After remap probably 11/100 km. Probably. 20k mileage.

QUOTE(Dwango @ Jul 25 2013, 12:55 PM) This Preve CFE Turbo's 0-100km/h acceleration at 9.6s is even quicker than the Proton Inspira 2.0 right? Is this figure accurate? The CFE Turbo can really achieve below 10.0s in 0-100km/h? Anybody tried? Youtube1Youtube2with racechip: Youtube3and i managed to do it myself. QUOTE(Volkswagen2 @ Jul 25 2013, 10:39 PM) What is this Racetrip chip about? Will it cause any damage or ill effects to the engine in the long run? Acceleration is quite powerful though. And damn, the top speed of the Preve can reach 210km/h? Is that car modified? I thought the top speed is about 195km/h only. I believe CFE preve's top speed is actually 210km/h without modification. Anybody here installed racechip in their preve? if we can get their comment on the performance, that will be great.

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Jul 29 2013, 08:06 AM) I test drove this Preve Turbo last Saturday. Damn, it is one powerful car that has better acceleration than most 2.0-litre sedan vehicles. I didn't test the top speed and just around the city but I can feel the strong surge when I stepped on the accelerator. The car just accelerated effortlesly with a strong surge, just like a race car. I am very impressed. One thing I would like to clarify. Between the normal CVT automatic gear and the 7-speed manual gear transmission, how often do we need to use the manual gear? Or in other words - how useful in the manual gear compared to the automatic? I briefly tried shifting between Automatic and Manual back and forth, and frankly I think the Automatic is more than good enough and has sufficient acceleration power. I guess people will use Manual for more thrills or when want to overtake vehicles, but I feel the Automatic is also very powerful and has enough turbo speed and power to overtake vehicles too. What do you guys think? When do you use the 7-speed manual? THe handling and NVH is also super although I didn't manage to test the car in high speed cornering or anything like that, but man I can feel the power in the Turbo engine. One small step on the accelerator and the whole car just moves forward like a train. Personally I think this is a good value-for-money car which is suitable for those who like sporty handling and a bit of Turbo speed for some racing mood on the highways. I rarely use manual shifting. D or S is good enough. Even for hill climb, D is already ok. I only use S if there is need for sharper throttle response. Preve's design is more on smooth accel rather than rapid accel IMHO. The only time i use manual was for showing off to people in the car. I can't really say Preve's handling is sporty though, just that it feels well planted. Definitely VFM.

Mine 28k mileage. 1st batch.
My preve rattled a bit after the first few thousand km, usually at the dashboard near the central aircond vents but a few thousand km after that the rattling sound disappeared by itself. I guess somehow the dashboard seats itself properly.
Now, the dashboard vibrates noticeably if under hard acceleration from 0km/h. After passing 60km/h or so, no more vibration.

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Aug 6 2013, 11:04 PM) Also, sometimes when I forget to off the lights or apply the handbrake, and I switch off the engine, the engine will continue to run and won't switch off even though the key is already removed from the slot. In a way it's good, but in order to switch off the engine, the engine needs to be restarted again to stop the engine. Quite a hassle. Erm.. Preve CFE do have a turbo timer installed, so if the turbo is currently hot, especially after driving hard, the turbo intercooler will continue running by itself even though the engine turned off. This is to protect the turbo from premature wear. So not to worry if you hear the intercooler sound coming from front left side. Also you will also feel a draft of hot air blowing from under the car.

QUOTE(f4hmi88 @ Aug 6 2013, 11:51 PM) yes i did that..still i need to press it twice..the first press will just switch on the light at the button..the second will be the ignition..i dont know why.. There are two way to start the engine. 1 press or 2 press. For 1 button press method, 1.Gear in P or N, 2.Press brake pedal and hold 3.Press Start button. For 2 button press method, 1.Gear in P or N, 2.Press once on start button and let diagnostic finish (let ABS,ESC light turn off first), 3.Press brake pedal and hold. 4.Press start button. Proton SC adviser recommends 2 button press method to me.

QUOTE(f4hmi88 @ Aug 7 2013, 12:11 AM) ooo..now i know..i think i din hold the brake paddle for a while..maybe i need to hold it longer..i'll try it tmrw..thanks for the info.. how abt the hazard light? When you press the start button, you must still be pressing the brake pedal as well. No idea about the hazard light though. Try and see if it repeats every time you start the car. If it does, try checking with SC. I never had this kind problem though.
