The FC isn't as impressive as the car its class supposed to be having.

Yup. The FC is so bad. I am getting around 12km/l on mixed condition driving. Normally my drive speed is around 80kph, but due to the nature of Malaysian drivers, I bring it above 110 especially on highways.

My recent trip to Ipoh, I filled up RM40 (2.10/L). Average speed i am doing is 140. Occasionally touching 170 on downhill and very straight roads. Combined town + highway vroom vroom only gives me a measly 14km/L.

So bad FC. shakehead.gif

Too much fuel? Yeah, for city driving only sad.gif
Highway driving can get better FC. smile.gif
For my FLX CVT Rm50 (era of Rm1.90) can hit 400km with light foot (speed around 80-100kmh).

herm, pwrwindow isnt a problem actually. fuel, old saga,4at cnsume more than new cvt. unless u rev@drive punch cvt like auto, then it will suffer same faith.
ill already posted on punch cvt at saga thread. u can look it up.

on average, rm 50@1.90 city driving,300 to 350km. highway,350 to 450km,depend on speed,legal speed,average 400km.mix driving, 320 to 370km.

but drive like auto gearbox, it will only last 250km for rm50@1.90.

shocking.gif shocking.gif my IAFM preve executive only getting around 200-220km for RM50 , city driving!! how do you get 300-350km for RM50 city driving??

i just did my first 1000km service only..

Before the 1st service, i went on highway drive from KL to Johor and back, had to pump RM100 petrol for the whole journey (rm50 each time before departure)
Was driving around 140-160kmh from KL > Johor . Coming back time around 100-120kmh Johor > KL .

Something wrong with my preve FC ?

City driving patterns are different among individuals. The driving conditions of your city driving will not be the same as the city driving conditions of another person. You may be doing 40km/h to 80km/h in city driving whereas another person may be doing 0km/h to 30km/h in city driving. Big difference in fuel consumption between the two conditions.

The last thing that you ever wanted to happen if you are concerned on fuel consumption, is to not let your Preve to get into traffic jam situations, a crawl which will need your car to accelerate from standstill 0km/h to 30km/h constantly. This is the worst case scenario, and in this situation, please check your mileage meter. THe amount of kilometres left will drop like nobody's business.

Till then.

wait until 10k service, then its optimum then. for preve iafm, the weight did hampered its city drive. and rm50 is old price, now around rm55. and its on average.

but i can give u a tip on how to juice up ur fc n understand how punch cvt work. apply to all, same as cfe.

in city traffic, when u stop at traffic n want to start moving, never press ur throttle 1st,wait until the car start moving or rolling bx itself n the rpm raise by 1krpm++,then u start to press the fuel pedal.

2nd, for punch cvt, there are 3 diff strategies applied.

no 1, 1k rpm to 1.6 krpm, torque being reduce a bit for ease of parking, crawling in traffic jam and driving around housing area when speed is only up to 40kmh max.

when u r crawling in traffic jam, stop n go movement when speed isnt exceeding 40kmh,just rev around that region.

no 2, 1.7krpm to 1.9krpm,or exactly below 2krpm,for city driving n slow hway cruising, the engine wil labour for optimum fuel efficiency, same as cvt ratio. yup its feel slow, but adequate enough in city driving where speed is not more than 80 kmh. so,if ur driving in town n traffic is smooth, only stop at traffic light,n after that smooth, then rev around this region.

no 3,2k rpm and beyond, this is when the character of cvt change, for cfe,of course feel like a massive torque, for iafm+,u will feel its power start to come.
the cvt ratio is more on agressive ratio, where low ratio is being given utmost priority,to ease overtaking, sudden acceleration, fully loaded, hill climbing etc. slam the pedal a bit beyond 2k rpm, even at 2.1krpm,u will feel diff feeling compare to below 2krpm, u can hear the cvt n engine roar a bit. this is where normally people will drive, but being cvt, that is not the most fuel efficient.

and since cvt, u will feel below 2krpm is really slow, but actually its not that slow. the speed still climb as conventional at at around 2k to 2.5krpm,due to smoothness,u feel it slow. thats why many kaki's dont like cvt,it doesnt give manly feeling same as manual or conventional auto or dsg.

and dont use sat function for iafm unless u know how to manipulate it. it may give better acceleration feeling, but just the feeling, not the speed.

try out urself, using sat,rev not exceeding 2krpm each gear, driving in full cvt mode, slam to 2krpm. cmpare the feeling and the speed.

and in teribble traffic cndition, only 3 cylinders n hybrid n turbo diesel can survive better.

average is only at normal traffic cndition. not withstanding how long is ur car been idling in traffic also wasting of fuel.

try to practice what i mentioned earlier.

manual mode is manual override using the 7speed protonic pedal shift or gear shift.

Bro, if you have enough money go buy Potent Booster. I tested for my preve IAFM and you will impress what that device can do. Its really worth the money. Now RM50 i can get about 350km for city driving compare previously around 200km-250km.

the acceleration? hehe try first then you will know. I am super recommend this device to IAFM member.

p/s: my young brother owned CFE and he might getting this device as well. will write review later (if he go buy).
