Anyone facing wind noise on the following?
1) Front windshield at the driver side
2) Rear left passenger side, could be at the small window or door not closed properly..
Any solution to this?

QUOTE(stargate8 @ May 14 2013, 07:10 PM) same old same old issues, which till now i have the time to visit sc again. I went to setapak sc to fix some of the issues stated above but still not resolved. Maybe with the change of the new mechanice, the service quality will improve 100% setapak sc now have new chief mechanic... i hope he can fix my preve issues once and for all. have to leave my car there till tomorrow afternoon, but I hope can get all issues fix before end of 1st year. Priority : oil leak again (ya that's right, COE didnt fix it, then send to setapak apparently wasn't fix as well) difficult to start engine occasionally and overcrank sound (donno it's the battery or the starter) check car battery (some got bad battery I heard) claim windows run channel warranty for all rear windows (ugly installation) Rear Left small windows wind noise (confirmed need to fix) front passenger door panel loose. (causing rattling noise) bosh HU firmware and gps map update (according to sc got update) car fuel lid not aligned properly. (i saw latest batch fuel lid was properly aligned) turn to right while applying brake at slow speed, screeching noise, maybe brake issue. Recall for : airbag sensor power windows - passenger except driver reflash ecu tcu Non-priority : inside center aircon vent rattling noise driver side view mirror motor sound after open driver door lock/unlock noise |

QUOTE(Saya_Dhuang @ May 16 2013, 12:53 PM) Hahahaha..... LOL! I tried that way before and my side mirror over aligned and have to be replaced....our vendor give sub par parts......so my advice leave it as it is unless you are free to go sc to change.Well anybody who's concern enough with our current petrol price is already well seasoned with our beloved 1 Malaysia.. Just like this: [attachmentid=3441586] I recalled last time got 1 member forced pull it out until got some "Kraak kraaaaaaak" sound. Then it's ok edy. It's like the Side Mirror 'terlajak keluar' from it's track a bit. |

Not trolling....but we need to have realistic expectation in terms of Malaysian made cars
Five-year warranty, free servicing and roadside assistance lowers long-term ownership costs; roomy interior; decent steering; solid handling Overpriced; below-average performance and economy; poor refinement and build quality; too-firm urban ride quality; no cruise control; compromised driving position; detail design flaws Taken from http://www.caradvice.com.au/231533/proton-preve-review/ |

QUOTE(Saya_Dhuang @ May 17 2013, 02:25 PM) Agreed with Gigabit bro, this ain't trolling. Just sharing the thought on our beloved preve. Several Comments from the same webpage: Preve In Aussie Maybe we need to hire a German designer to improve Proton.....haha...."Even when reversing on light throttle, vibrations stream through the steering wheel, pedals and dash – and the CVT even made the engine stall once. On coarse chip bitumen, particularly, road noise fights with the thrashy engine." Seems like the "stalling during reverse" ain't Malaysian problem only... The Proton Preve should be priced at least $4000 cheaper, to be reasonably competitive against light sedans such as the Holden Barina and Nissan Almera. It is better than the Chery J3 that sells for $6000 less, but the Proton isn’t necessarily 35 per cent better, and it certainly shares some of the Chinese-made hatchback’s quality and refinement shortfalls. Well, we still have a long way to go then. |

QUOTE(diadokmai @ May 17 2013, 05:21 PM) who design Gen2? it an australian engineer right? Since we are talking about car designs....Oh, just to add..the 1st batch of the brand new saga was designed with consultation with LG CNS.Gen2 is very popular in Arabic country..they didnt believe the Gen2 is a proton car since at thier country the brand is europestar. im very frustated on proton..why need to stop that Gen2? i think its is better just upgrade the stock CPS engine to CFE and fitt it into gen2. since i want a new car..end up with preve..aiya..come on Potong..produce back NEW Gen2 plus improvement with CFE engine. i will trade my Preve Premium for it. Preve was designed with consultation with some italian design studio (cannot remember the name)...maybe concept wise...preve may be impressive....but execution ah.....many rooms for improvement. |

QUOTE(diadokmai @ May 17 2013, 05:56 PM) what more im frustated about potong? their prototype of TUAH is sparklingly awesome.. Along the way, maybe cost went up, local vendor cannot do what is required in large numbers? trying to keep the selling price below RM75,000 maybe a factor...? crony companies?..many things....but why end up like preve...why cant be like TUAH? Where is mat79??? Maybe he can share some light on this, i think QC from Proton is c**p, no audit on parts supplied by vendor. From my point of view, Potong still have lots to improve in terms of service quality, car quality...maybe protectionist policy is preventing Potong to UBAH...haha... |
