You can fit 18" rims on the preve tongue.gif Not sure ride quality though

Preve isn't a sporty car unlike Civic, it's more like Altis. I think 17" is just nice.

I thought Civic is not sporty car also?

Those rims were issued by Proton. I'm guessing warranty with them.  biggrin.gif

To me, Civic looks more sporty than Altis. Altis has the executive looks.

Well... I guess the fuel consumption is going to be bad... doh.gif

Hi guys, sending my car for it's first service this Sat. I am just wondering if they will be able to fix some issues such as the c-pillar wind noise during Saturdays? Or do they have a strict service-only-and-no-other-claims policy during the weekends?

Thanks!

You should call them and make an appointment.

6MT????So At is 7 speed ke? hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
CFE is 7 speed, expected it to extend to the hatchback of course. No reason why hatchback would revert back to 6 speed or lesser.

do they charge labour for 1K service? they quoted rm202 (estimated) for the 1st service with shell helix 10w-40.
*
First, second and third services will waive the labor charges. My first 1k was also around that price (albeit cheaper, RM196.xx, using Petronas Syntium).

Forgot the actual breakdown, but it's basically just the normal stuffs, engine oil, air filter, battery cap etc.

new air filter also they want to change? i thought its at 20k?

typo, oil filter... icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Typo indeed, it's oil filter tongue.gif

I like the good services at my local SC. There are many SC who would just straight away do their things without explaining or breaking down the cost doh.gif

Yes, but if they do it in the first place, it's valuable to customer.

Planning to change the head unit, but don't know which is the suitable one to replace the stock head unit.

Nope, semi. Fully synthetic price is already RM200+ itself. Fully + service will easily cost you around RM3XX.

Not sure what's wrong with Alza and its 'internal problems', but direct competition to Exora, the latter is much more comfortable to me laugh.gif

With that said, I had called Proton care line, they assured me installing reverse camera will not void warranty, as long as the chassis integrity isn't affected. However, I'm going to have them to sent me an email as a proof tongue.gif

Last time I ask the same thing at Proton Desa Tun Razak, the SA told me it will void the warranty of any electronic stuff related to it. Rear and reverse light, reverse sensor and so on as the wiring is related...lol.
Not on Preve though.
*
I guess it can be done only by Proton's authorized workshop?

Went for my first service on Saturday, didn't have to pay anything since they said i could claim Raya vouchers to the value of RM200, if not total cost would be about 180+.  biggrin.gif
*
Wow a cash voucher? How do I get it? hmm.gif Just top up a bit then I can buy fully syn engine oil already...

Things I noticed after my 1000km service:

-Better FC
-Faster acceleration

Others are too subtle.

Mixing petrol is okay, but mixing diesel should be a no no, according to a seasoned mechanic at a workshop.

Mine is working perfectly. It's a nice feature to impress your passengers, they asked me why my wipers were acting 'hectic' as the speed wasn't constant laugh.gif

Maybe you accidentally set the wiper to 'Off' instead of Auto?
