Think 10 times if you want to buy furniture from Vonza Sdn Bhd / Decor Point Sdn Bhd! mad.gif

When you want to arrange for delivery, they ask you to call their rude logistics department
When the item delivered, it is claimed 100% export quality but the dining table turned out has long scratch lines, and the chairs are all assembled at your house by unskilled foreign worker. Worse still the chair legs comes with different lengths and colors and the worker gave up after fixing up few chairs that all are unbalance and shaky.
When you try to call the sales to deal with the issue, they push you around to call several showrooms/departments and you will need some luck before somebody finally willing to listen to your problem.

When you go to see the Managing Director at their showroom to express your dissatisfaction and exercise your CONSUMER RIGHTS to ask for Refund, they said their product 100% quality and insist you can ONLY Exchange, NO REFUND.

But the fact that the Trade ministry already announced Nov 2012 that all purchases if it is for domestic use, as mentioned here:
http://www.malaysiandigest.com/news/36-local2/162971-no-refund-disclaimers-by-traders-merchants-unethical-ismail-sabri.html

Consumers have the right to be compensated for items or services which do not meet the guarantee given, including in business premises which display 'No Exchange' or 'No Refund' notices.

When you lodge a complain to the Consumer Tribunal, the 'super efficient' company denies they received letter from the authority to attend hearing but their staff actually signed back the registered mail.

When they are issued a COURT ORDER, yes a COURT ORDER to refund the full amount, they deny it, and only tell you they will refund but offset this fee that fee, and Not according to COURT ORDER.

When you lodge a complaint to summon them they finally agree to pay but play tricks to say they send letter to bank to refund to your credit card (but refused to issue a refund cheque). After 20+ days still no refund was made…

If you do not want to go down the path I went through think think think 10x before you want to sign a purchase form with such a merchant.
They are totally abusing the rights for a consumer, by collecting your money for 5 months and you don't get to use your furniture a day and you have to go the authorities 3 times to lodge complaint. They just sit back and let you shout and continue to get other innocent buyers to be their next target.

Share with all your friends and families, we are the CONSUMER, we need to know our RIGHTS, and use it appropriately. Don't be afraid of problem, if you happen to run into one.

We need more awareness to attain better level of CONSUMER RIGHTS!

Ya our consumer rights actually don't have consumer rights at all. Our consumer tribunal and courts are of no use. Therefore all these idiots know and taking advantage. I was thinking of going tribunal regarding my door frm Kim Door but after hearing and reading all this feedback and experience consumer still loose. I just say to myself lets do charity and donate the RM300+ to those poor people at Kim door. They might not have money to buy food.

hey...actually Vonza gallery and Vonza Decor point are different although they carry the name Vonza...

I bought mattress and bed set from Vonza Decor point during one of the exhibition. I also have to call the delivery department (the number at the back of the envelope). Service was good, no rude person or anything..I paid teh balance at Decor Point along LDP (use credit card can collect points, just in case delivery guy come and machine rosak)

BUT I bought sofa, coffee table and got free chair from Vonza gallery...I can agree with you, service damn terrible....they said to ask for delivery 3 weeks before I need them. I called them and they said so near to CNY have to wait for 1 mth for delivery (meaning 1 week after CNY). So I said ok.

Then 3 days before delivery date, I called them to confirm because no one called me. I can tell the lady totally forgotten from the conversation; she couldn't find my order and have no collection of an arrangement for my delivery for that particular week. At first she said, we did not make an arrangement! Then she said cannot find the order chit. I was so mad and gave her a piece of my mind.

Then she called me back and said they can't delivery because apparently the factory ran out of the fabric that I wanted for my sofa and did not inform her AND she said have to wait another 3WEEKS; Which is the same amount of duration for a new delivery.

So I know she totally forgotten to make the arrangement with the factory on her side.

THEN, 1 day before delivery, her staff called me and said the leisure chair that I ordered in red is OUT OF STOCK. What the fish!! He asked me to that the one in white which is the one that have in their gallery. Bloody Hell! He said if i insisted in the RED one, he needs to order and I need to wait 3 MONTHS! Crazy or what?! I think he just wants me to take the white one. I told him, that leisure chair is not urgent and I will wait.

On the day of delivery....guess what?! they send me the WRONG coffee table...Wrong shape and wrong colour and when they delivery man installed the table, the drawers were full of scratches because the roller for drawers weren't installed correctly and brushes over the table top..

I called them and told them that they send me the wrong table...wrong shape and colour. That bloody lady said it is what is written in their order. I told her I don't bloody care what code she wrote on the order but this is not the table that I ordered and I send her a picture of the table that I ordered.

She called me back and said that table has been discontinued and wanted me to take the the table design that they sent (but new one) when the table I ordered was much more expensive.

And she has the chic to ask me to PAY FIRST! I told her NO. And she send me a photo of the table that I originally ordered but of a different colour..also white (I think white don't sell so well, because that table was a display unit as well, same with the leisure chair).

Then I said, I'll reject everything..she can take everything back and I want full refund...Then they ask me to go to their showroom and pick a new coffee table that we like...eventually I pick another square one but RM100 more but we didnt top up..and she also said that leisure chair in red..don't have to wait 3 mths...ask to collect mid of this mth...and the coffee table...she said can deliver on the same day but 7pm since lorry driver is in puchong..

I thought they changed..but lo and behold, 6+pm, they called back said raining and lorry has no Canvas to cover. Dumbfounded, we threaten to call consumer association. Then they ask lorry driver to call us..driver said still in damansara and already very late, said to deliver next morning (But I need to go out in the morning). And yell at us saying that we are so inconsiderate 'hari in beli, hari ini mau deliver' Bloody hell, I beli berbulan bulan lepas! Then we called the Vonza lady again, she said very late and will talk to lorry driver...She ask lorry driver to call us back instead..

In my opinion, Vonza Gallery is not worth it..no doubt sofa quality was good and nice, but service just killed the business.

BTW, this is Vonza Gallery in Bukit Tinggi Klang

I just bought a custom made cabinet from Podez Gallery Sdn Bhd...any relations with this Vonza? From what I gather, a lot of these furniture shops are all linked, maybe under the same bosses... Just like the phone retailers in Sg Wang, many booths but same bosses... don't buy from booth A, go to booth B, without realising, also same boss, but just different name.. rclxub.gif

I had same terrible bad experience on Victoria Gallery @ Serdang Raya, The sales man promise get us real marble for dinning table and select the outlook from leaflet, and we did insists we are not accepting Man made Marble/Artificial Stone for our dinning table.
Down payment had been paid RM500, the cost is about 3k plus include 6 chairs.
Once stock arrive is man made marble dinning table, and few scratches. We ask for return, then this man director of the company talk to us. I don't want name it out(google facebook your self), he refuse to refund the deposit and insists that we must take the table and payment. He said "he is not the sales man who sale the thing, the sales man now resign. You must pay the item and we can't refund you the deposit."
We learn our painful lesson the company swallow our RM500 and we only get 4 cheap dinning chair where now put in the store room.

Hey,

My wife just came across your thread and she was talking to me about it over breakfast. And your experience got me thinking about the same SHITTY experience I got at the end of last year with this Lady Boss/Vonza/Decor Point/Deep Living etc. Point is the said Lady Boss micro manages all these companies and dealings. She is not a pleasant person to deal with and to be honest, I don't know how she managed to expand her business until today. Moreover, the quality and design of the products are rubbish - but possibly coz of One price, One product?

The story goes...

Couple of 'Perfect Livin' expos ago, we were looking for some home reno items and we came across Vonza's sofas. If you compared their sofas with the other suppliers @ Perfect Livin, I would say their sofas would appear as decent. At that time, the only sofas I've really explored were the ones from the suppliers at the expo coz I haven't had the time to visit other shops. My wife thought the L shape sofa was decent for its price.

Few expos later, it was time to buy our sofa so we visited the expo yet again and this time, without exploring further, I paid a deposit of 50% for the sofa because I had thought that my wife was happy with the sofa. She thought I liked it, and I thought she liked it...
At this point in time, we hadn't decided on the color nor size so the deposit was to merely lockdown the expo discounts.

After some research, we realised that their sofa's fabric were fire retardant and most fire retardant sofas will have to be treated with chemicals that could cause cancer. Not feeling comfortable, we went to their showroom to try the sofa again to see if we would go with the leather alternative. Soon realised that the sofa isn't actually as comfortable as I'd like it to be and the leather alternative looked and felt simply awful.

We decided to cancel our order and to be fair, I respect the fact that the deposit is non refundable. Again, nobody told us that the deposit was non refundable coz on the day of the expo, the parttime sales person and even the lady boss said we could change to anything else (ie mattress etc) at their shop if we wanted to.
Nobody specified clearly that the deposit is non refundable - but i blame myself for this because I should have read the back of their receipt for the terms and conditions before signing it.

Nevermind that. So we went to their Puchong HQ to discuss our intention to change for something else in the shop. They tried their best to convince us that the fabric used for their sofas were not fire retardant (that was a lie because it is clearly stated in the Spec sheet for the Acacia fabric).
At this point in time, nothing in their shop seemed decent and met my requirements. I decided to change it to a bed + mattress for our guest room since we already bought our mattress from somewhere else. The staff couldn't make any decisions so they had to call the lady boss and we had to argue several times over the phone (many times she just put the phone down when she felt she was uncomfortable). In the end, she allowed us to change to an Englander mattress because I suspect the margins are better as compared to the King Koil ones. Almost giving up, I agreed with that and they wrote me a new receipt to change the deposit to the mattress. The manager at the Puchong HQ was actually quite helpful and we appreciate that he tried to help us negotiate a deal knowing that the lady boss is very cunning.

I left the showroom and later that afternoon, the lady boss called me. She insisted that she had paid the commission to the sales person for the sofa BUT that isn't really my problem is it...all i did was paid for the deposit to lock down the discounts at their shop (strange idea i know after thinking bout it). Usually I let my wife do the negotiations etc. BUT this time I was boiling and I yelled at her for not keeping her words. After all the trouble I went through, I was almost thinking the 2k isn't worth all this trouble. I gave her 2 options: 1) Honour her words and deliver the mattress as per receipt 2) I go to the consumer court if the mattress isn't delivered on the agreed date as per receipt and get whatever I can even if it is RM 1 after all the admin fees whatsoever.

She hung up the phone after that and I didn't want to call her back. I waited for the week of the delivery and someone called me to tell me that the mattress isn't in stock (Nice try..). I said I would give them few more days to obtain the stock and then have it sent to me at a time convenient to myself. They delayed the delivery again a few days later but eventually, they came and installed the bed. After some horror stories I've read about their bad installations, I watched their crew very closely in case of any damages etc. Fortunately, the crew sent was quite polite and careful. They even told me that their lady boss was a nice woman. I told them my story and they said it could have been a miscommunication - I really wonder what these guys are thinking. If their boss would treat their customers like that, what more the employees?

Once they left, I told myself NEVER EVER to buy from any of their shops and affiliates whatsoever...ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE...
I was fortunate enough to get something for what I've paid BUT this is simply not what I would expect.

I hope with this thread, more people would be aware of such clowns and be very careful where they spend their money.
