Moyes is unproven in Europe, probably as assistant manager. My choice would be between Jurgen Klopp or Laurent Blanc. I wonder if Guus Hiddink or Ancelotti would fit in as well. Ancelotti's records (AC Milan and Chelsea) was pretty decent, I wouldn't mind too since he'll be leaving PSG in the summer.

Moyes has always been Fergie's favorite. Interesting to see Wayne Rooney pitting against his 'former' manager who he had once had a go at. But newspapers are flying in that Rooney will depart for Munich next season, let's hope it's not true

QUOTE(fronaldo @ May 8 2013, 07:37 PM) David Gill: "The new manager will have to have experience in both England and European competitions." That's a relieve! Moyes does not have European experience.. which boils down to Mourinho / Klopp already

Quite high percentage stating that Moyes will succeed SAF. http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/footba...icle3759033.eceWill definitely back him should he take over.

QUOTE(benrahman @ May 8 2013, 11:42 PM) Whoever replace SAF next season, hopefully he will get as much support as he need from boards, staff, players and fans. Give him time. Now im wondering what will happen to players like welbeck, ando, valencia, young, Nani, and even fletcher. Not sure if they will get the chances from new boss or not. Valencia, Nani and Young can go. Under-performed, quite frustrating that our wingers failed to live up to expectations this season.

QUOTE(Vaedoris @ May 9 2013, 12:16 AM) For those who want Moyes... Think about this fact: Moyes has never won against Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool away from home! True. But knowing the fact that Everton's budget is way lower than all of the clubs mentioned above

QUOTE(gr8fr8 @ May 9 2013, 10:33 AM) The muppet in me, I would like to see Rooney off (I know he has so much in his engine, but there is not much evidence of it nowadays. You can't keep unmotivated big game players like Rooney in the squad, even as great THAT pass to RvP is), keep Nani (one last chance to prove himself), Anderson off (as skilful as he is at times, he is just not fit enough to playing in this league, perhaps La Liga is more suited to his playing styles), and keep the rest. Fabio to be Rafael's backup (not like they would notice anyway apart from the haircuts ). Rooney out, means another big time player should be coming. CR7? Other than that, another one or two potential players could be enough to maintain and steady the United ship once again. I am sure it would be unstable for the first few months, but as SAF is still there always ever so watchful, the damage would be kept at minimal. Can't imagine Giggsy playing under different manager after all these years. Would be weird watching United games from now on. A new era? Hope another successful one. It would be very very very difficult to emulate SAF's achievements, but if the new man can win some if not all, and still maintain United at the very top of Euro's football tree, and not fall down completely, I think that would be enough. One last muppetry, Bale please. CR7, Bale, RvP. O.M.G.! Strikerless formation once again! Supported by Kagawa, Carrick and Cleverley/Nani(?). CR7's return might not happen also, since SAF is no longer the manager unless he don't mind working with Moyes la. I don't mind Rooney leaving, always idolize him but of late, his lack of commitment and passion has made me think twice already. He will definitely affect the morale of the team if he continues to rebel.

QUOTE(JohnnyBeGud @ May 9 2013, 10:19 PM) I shall put 5 years of blind faith to Moyes. No trophies? Fine, as long as we retain UCL spot every season. United continued. I believe 5 years is too long, based on today's standards. I trust Moyes, with 'big names' speculating, it's hard to see United not winning anything for 5 years
