Just received my black Pantech Vega N6 yesterday. Still exploring the phone. Quite impress with it. Good buy value for money

I have successfully rooted my Vega N6, thanks to Uncle Benny
The second stage is to solve the sms limitation,
I have read carefully the procedure posted by Uncle Benny;
I don't understand point no 5.
How to set permission to r/w.
I am using root explorer.

**root explorer select mount R/W n just change accordingly but a warning came up stating that the file is read only and not allowed to change
Seeking feedbacks toovercome this

bro,
1. Install any ROOT EXPLORER app

2. Download this FIX file from http://adf.ly/Cn3Gi

3. Extract files with WINRAR from downloaded ZIP file into local PC dir.

4. Put framework.jar file from extracted folder>System>framework into phone USB or SD card memory.

5. Now open ROOT Explore app in phone, browse to /system/framework and set permission to r/w.

6. In /system/framework folder of phone, renamed the file “framework.jar” file to “framework.jar.bak” or any other name.

7. Paste the framework.jar from USB memory or SD card (where u placed in 4.) to /system/framework folder of phone with ROOT EXPLORER.

8. Reboot phone, when phone reboot again, it will shows message of upgrading application. Wait for finish!

all procedures done but when reboot.........................no messages of upgrading application. WHAT WENT WRONG

I guess the procedure doesn't work on 138 version.

TQ bro Noobi3 waiting for other alternative if any?. Uncle Benny88 might have some ideas?

I guess as a seller, the potential buyer might be turn off knowing about the SMS limitation problems unless you have a good solution to it.
there is a buyer Scotty Pang that has been having bad experience on Vega N6.(info from this thread)

Any assistance on the SMS issues is greatly appreciated

To minimise misunderstanding of the procedure,
1. boot the phone numerous recovery.....I guess to reboot to Recovery Mode
2. wipe out 4 finish line ......please explain
3. select backup and restore .....understand
4. restore selection from the internal memory or memory card when you copy files very .......please explain
5. finished little wait further up bug fix package ......please explain
6. choose install zip from sdcard> ....understand
7. select choose zip from sdcard>......understand
8. select A860K_fixed_sms_129_test1 ........understand
9. Done wipe data again to reboot and enjoy form

Yes, Vega n6 have the same problems like Vega Racer 2 but can be fix with FIX Dialer. However the real problem is the SMS limitations. You will get annoyed by the limits, and there is some solutions suggestions but some doesnt work with the latest software. Other than that

go to play store and find Number Fixer, it will help solve your problem. I am using GoSMS abd still have SMS limitations. I have tried and it doesnt work with new software S0838138.TP20
