Ok, based on my calculations for the coolant, as the radiator holds up to 5L of liquid, 33% of dilution = 1.65L of Coolant + 3.35L of distilled water.
For overflow tank 33% of 0.65L capacity= 0.21L This post has been edited by TDUEnthusiast: Apr 2 2013, 11:59 PM |

QUOTE(shelby_yong @ Apr 3 2013, 01:44 AM) QUOTE(Cavino @ Apr 3 2013, 07:34 AM) Dunno. On the bottle it tells me the best dilution ratio for it is 33% water ~ 50% water. I guess that depends on your coolant |

QUOTE(Manlet @ Apr 3 2013, 08:12 PM) Nope. No use for HDD. I own my 750GB HDD for about more than two years now, and I have never managed to go pass 60% of its capacity, mainly due to the fact that I clear the system entirely once in a while once I feel that it's bloated |

Weird. Radiator says its capacity is 5L but somehow pouring in less than 3L of water after "draining completely" via the petcock causes the radiator to overflow

Ok. Job done for the radiator flushing and topping up. The part where they say to leave the radiator cap off to let the air bubbles come out is really
Total cost: Castrol RadiCool - RM27.9 x2 = RM55.8 10 bottles of SeaMaster RO Water = RM16.2 ( free one bottle ), but only two bottles are actually required to fill the radiator, the rest can be used for flushing the system. System has to be flushed with water for at least 2 times to clear out the old coolant. On a side note: Re-oiled the blower motor + cleaned the blower fins. Now the air-cond system does not smell dusty anymore, + the blower seems to be more quiet as well ---- Wtf? https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2760493 3 years still can ask for RM13xxxx? Gila punya. QUOTE(kennywee92 @ Apr 4 2013, 03:23 PM) Quite easy to be honest, but you need a bucket, patience, and of course moolah for good coolant and if possible distilled / RO water / deionised water ( battery water ). |
