Guys i want to unjailbreak my 5.0.1 ipad 2
however i always get error 3194 on my itunes.
Even if i edit the hosts file its still the same
i downloaded 6.1 for ipad 2 GSM version, it cant be used
ipad bought in local apple store
Any advice?

Does your ipad get stuck from getting to home screen and show a connector cable image?

no. it just shows error 3194 when verifying with apple
after that it closes

Download iOS from http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ and when in iTunes, click shift+update. You will have to restore first and update will be done automatically. you're gonna have to re-download all your apps if you don't back your iPad up first. good luck

Enter DFU mode and update. worked on my iPhone 4 when it was on iOS 5.1.1

and i read it somewhere apple itunes doesnt allow old version of ios download

Right now, my iPad mini is jailbroken iOS 6.1.2 but my iPhone 4 I didn't upgrade to iOS 6 because there was no JB but when Evad3rs released a JB for iOS .1 then I downloaded from the website that I posted, and it worked like a charm, but the downside is that you have to re-download all apps, but everythink else was ok

Same Issue
Using tiny umbrella fix 3194. Then error 11 shows

1. Make sure you are updating to the latest iOS
2. Make sure you have the latest iTunes perinstalled in your pc
3. Keep trying with other USB ports and hopefully you will get it right.

Yes I know. But you are not updating to the latest firmware. So basically you are updating to iOS 6.1.3 then downgrade to 6.1 again.

Every device has their own blobs. Mine can't be used on yours, understand ? Your device needs to be on iOS 6.1 before. If you didn't update your device to iOS 6.1 last time then it's impossible to update it to iOS 6.1 now. I think that's almost it. /kolos

I may be mistaken but I thought with a5x devices there is no way to downgrade from 6.1.3 even if you have all the shush blobs.

you mention your ipad2 already jailbroken. What version shsh do you have now when you open cydia?

I want to un-jailbreak my iPad2 Wifi running on 5.1.1. I have xxx-ipad2,1-5.1.1.shsh and iPad2,1_5.1.1_9B206_Restore.ipsw. Is this the correct method?

1) plug into PC, start iTunes
2) backup (I want back my apps)
3) shift-restore and select the ipsw file, then restore
4) restore backup (for my apps)

When does the SHSH file come into play?

By restoring or updating will simply un-jailbreak your iPad. SHSH is for downgrading purpose which you need a specific software to perform the task, in the meantime there's yet any supported software to downgrade the latest FW.

Thanks. Encountered a lot of errors like TS here when I tried to reflash my old firmware, 5.1.1. Gave up, downloaded 6.1.3 and flashed without problems. Now testing restoring my apps. If I don't have an iTunes backup, can I still download my paid apps from App Store without paying again? Like Android?

i read around a few articles
now i cant even do a fresh restore on 6.1 with my iphone 4.
i think apple already made installing firmware before 6.1.3 impossible

Yes, whenever a newer iOS FW is out, our iDevices can only update or restore to the latest FW. As for your Apps, if you have downloaded those Apps through iTunes with your Apple ID there should be a purchase history (either it's free or paid Apps), therefore you can restore your purchases by downloading again without any charges.
