My Clove order has changed from BACKORDER to SHIPPING. Crossing my fingers to have it by this weekend. Set aside $200 for DHL just in case SIRIM requires approval

I placed my order on 12 March. I ordered a silver HTC One 801n

Wanted to order with Handtec due to free case but decided against it since the everybody is ordering from Handtec. When I emailed Handtec I got the hint that I will be at the bottom of a very long list since everyone is jumping from Expansys/Clove/Amazon UK.

Here is a quick review
- So far no noticeable gap at the top or bottom of the screen. Very good build quality
- Anodized Alu makes the phone more grippy than Lumia 920
- Tapered sides makes the phone feels slim and makes you forget about the bulk in the middle
- Notification LED is very bright given the fact it is smaller than Note 2's notification light
- The power button is more recessed that I expected
- Sense 5 takes a while to get used to, especially since Im coming from TouchWiz
- Great speakers, no distortions even at max settings. 40% vol on HTC One = 80% on Note 2 (this is subjective)
- The phone is quite cool to touch. Been configuring/playing with it for 35-40 mins and it doesn't feel warm at all

Really tempted to put in an order to clove too. How long did it take for it to arrive from date of order?

Order date - 12 March 2013
Shipped date - 2 apr 2013
Received date - 8 Apr 2013 (reached Subang on Friday but our Kastam is super slow on that day)

For those who already owned the HTC One. Can you try whether the IR Blaster works with our Astro Decoder? If yes how well it works?

I'm waiting for Telco plan else I will buy it in SG during my visit this weekend on wards

Works fine. It gives u 3 keypads - directional, numeric and play/pause/rec for DVR

Set up is easy u dont even need to know ur model. U tell the TV is samsung and will blast some IR commands and you need to tell it if the command works. The same for Astro decoder.

Day 1 with my One
- battery is quite good. 12hrs on battery, it drops to 55%. Wifi, NFC and GPS is set to ON, heavy usage/molest by my peers blasting youtube and mp3 to max and testing out games
- signal reception quite good. At my cubicle my Note2 cant barely connect on 3g/H+, HTC1 constantly gives me H+. I am on Celcom
- I consider HTC Blink as eye candy. I dont use it that much

12 hrs SOT or idle?
*
The default HTC battery apps does not track screen on time. So there is not much help there. Plus I dont want to make a mental note to count my screen usage everytime I switch it on.

12 hrs period mentioned earlier is a mixture of idle time and actual usage.

how about performance ??? if compare with Note 2 ?? rclxms.gif

Normal apps pops out faster than Note2. Text reflow is fast on the default browser (not chrome)

I have yet to install heavy apps so I cant be definitive on HTC1 performance

Now that I have more time after my gym session, here is a more 'scientific' performance test
-Opening a local PDF file under ezPDF, roughly 50MB in size.
- GNote2 - 4.3sec
- HTC1 - 3.9sec
- Nex7 - 5.1sec
