Some good news.....
================================================ Preliminary ban of HTC One lifted in the Netherlands - Published on 04-24-2013 07:36 PM Number of Views: 193 0 Comments from GSMArena Yesterday, the Dutch court granted an injunction against the HTC One due to the use of a proprietary microphone belonging to Nokia. However, today The Hague ruled that HTC was not at fault, and has allowed the sales of the HTC One in Holland to resume. The microphone in question was developed by ST Microelectronics in conjunction with Nokia to use exclusively in the Finns' devices for the next year. However, ST Microelectronics violated this agreement, and decided to allow HTC the use of the hardware devices in its new One flagship. The Hague has since ruled that HTC had no way of knowing the details of the arrangement between Nokia and ST Microelectronics, and has shifted the blame to the latter. HTC is not out of the woods yet, however, as while it is allowed to sell all smartphones containing the chip produced until now, it must find an alternative supplier for microphones for any future One devices produced. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 30 2013, 09:07 AM) Based on my previous 2 days and past 1.5 day using it, there are no serious issues Thanks Benny. I have been following your findings and greatly appreciate it.My advise is when you buy, check properly for the gap problem. Apparently it is better in the subsequent batches HTC has admitted this problem http://gsminsider.com/2013/04/08/htc-admit...ne-built-issue/ Gap issues , refer the photos here : these gaping is definitely unacceptable http://gsminsider.com/2013/04/01/htc-one-s...onger-zero-gap/ Local blogger/reviewer Amanz also preview a similar poor unit but he never mentioned it. I think he did not noticed it. It is so obvious those gaps. Look at his photos - the front just below the speaker and the top end near the power button. Those gaps are definitely unacceptable http://amanz.my/2013/04/ulasan-htc-one/ I would say the S4 is no way a much better phone than the HTC one. Just that the S4 appeals to me better only ( its removable battery, external SDcard, better battery life and better 3G signal ). The major pro of the HTC One over the S4 is its very good audio quality and better camera shots under lowlight. Both phone has its pro n cons |
