It depends which model comes to Malaysia. The U variant is GSM only, while 1-2 other variants have support for 2600 LTE. Taiwan is getting the U version, so if you go there and buy one, don't think of using LTE in MY

QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 16 2013, 09:18 AM) What were you claiming ? I want to send my phone in for warranty as well. NFC not working since the first day I bought the One X lol, thought my MyKad got problem or what. But my friend bought some NFC tags, also can't detect. Unlocked, no idea if they will fix the issue under warranty. Volume Up/Down button also can't press properly. There are several users who claim that they could successfully claim warranty even on phones send in with bootloader unlock. Again this depends on what you wish to claim and is at HTC discretion. Warranty will be FOC if they feel is not due to BL unlock/rooted About 4+ years ago, I have successfully got my motherboard replace FOC ( defective GPS chip) for my rooted phone and is an AP set which I bought from SS15 |

QUOTE(MsiaqweR @ Apr 17 2013, 02:13 PM) Please, whatever you do just ignore any "-Arena" websites for phone reviews. They are 100% Samsung bias. "Low light Photos" taken at 6-7pm when the sun is still visible, and give the HTC One the worst camera rating ever. They have no experience or knowledge on how to properly review things at all. |

QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Apr 23 2013, 03:42 PM) Mission accomplished. Booked at SenQ 1U. Fifth person in the list. I put booking fee RM100. They ask me how much I want to put. So funny. So I think if I say RM50 also they take. Hmm? All SIS sets will automatically get 1+1 warranty for HTC phones.RM12 pay in cash, RM100 pay with Amex (500 points |

QUOTE(joelucas91 @ Apr 24 2013, 10:29 PM) There are three levels to the contest. When I went hunting on Sunday, none of this happened. There was no audio clip, the guy holding the phone was just impatient. He unlock the phone, show me the 4 pic THUMBNAILS and then he stare cock at me. I just stone there looking at him, wtf am I supposed to do? So I walked around... 10 mins later someone won d...wtf And I was there damn early too. Waste my time nia. Inconsistent running of the event.1. The first level can be found on HTC Malaysia's FB page. Follow the clues and find the HTC truck at the clue's location. You then have to wait for the event to start which is usually around 8.30pm. 2. The second level is listening to a sound recording of a 'double agent' describing his location which is nearby the truck. 3.The third level would be looking at a puzzle on one of the HTC One that the promoters hold which contains four photos. The four photos are clues to a single word(there is actually an app of the game that's quite popular now, but I can't recall the name of that app). Once you've deciphered the four photos, and got the word, you have to RUN as fast as you can to locate the double agent. If you see a person who you think is the double agent, you then proceed to ask him, "are you the HTC double agent?". If he says yes, then you tell him the secret code which is from the four photos. If your code is correct, you win the contest and the phone!!! Hope this answers your question mate |

QUOTE(blugear @ May 3 2013, 12:37 AM) This is a good sign, cos that means the hype for the HTC One is working. People are holding on to their money to buy the HTC One. If sales were still the same in Q1, then they have to start worrying, cos that means nobody knows the existence of the HTC One, and nobody cared about it, and still buying HTC One X,X+ etc etc |

QUOTE(YouDontKnowMyName @ May 4 2013, 08:13 PM) Referring to the bolded ones, I disagree. I find that the way they produce their reviews are very unprofessional. Or...you can go with Anandtech and their 27,000 word review of the HTC One Unprofessional in a way that they probably only use the phone for a day and put out a review right away the next day. Of course they can produce a review, but I doubt they even know the phone well and through to know what are it's true ups and downs for a regular consumer. I personally prefer reviews from other YouTubers such as TechnoBuffalo, SoldierKnowsBest, and MKBHD (the video you just quoted). Their reviews may not be the first to be released, but at least you know that they have been using the phone for long enough to know what are the quirks and pros of it, judging from the customisation they have put on the phone. (For example like re-arranged icons, changed wallpapers, and self installed apps). Just my 2 cents |
