I conjecture that the difficulty in disassembly likewise applies to assembly ?

I recall reading some articles writing that it took 200mins to create one from start to finish due to the fine craftsmanship? In which case they'd need A LOT of machining sets.

6000 x 200mins = 1,200,000mins, what, about 3 years?

Assuming they ramp up to 100 sets every 200mins, they'd still need 60x200min = 12,000mins, which is about 8 days.

It can't be that they've only gotten 6000 sets of stock just enough for Taiwan, as they launched the product 1 month ago. So .... hmm.gif

Unless they get some serious capacity ramp up or process simplification, the prognosis is not rosy.

Perhaps as a metaphor, how long does it take 1 woman to get dressed for a nice dinner vs how long 1 man takes to get dressed for the same dinner? laugh.gif

LOL.

this will make future owner thinks twice.
premium feel but cannot repair.

I think i certainly will not get this because of this.

technically if ur phone warranty period is over, then game over coz the phone is unrepairable.
*
Did not think of that. Damn. HTC One, you only have One shot at it. No extra 'shrooms will make up for it. Heh.

QUOTE(LordDenning @ Mar 30 2013, 12:18 AM)
oh yes that, thanks for reminding! Maybe for someone else, but not in my books. I don't play songs/videos out loud. Always used a headphone/earphone smile.gif

Maybe it will serve better for people who are watching videos/sharing songs with friends.

Well, if you wanna emulate a NED/Chav, then the boomsound would help. Heh.

On a different note, any news on Zoe portability? We still don't know if it's tied to hardware yet, do we?

BTW I think we have rationalized quite a bit tonight. Let the would be owners deal with the implications. Again I say it's a fine device, but I'll pass on the pleasure of owning one.

Thank you kind sir. I think we should civilize the uncivil. I hope we are not anachronisms. Then again I like the Society for Creative Anachronism.

About Zoe:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoetrope

Zoe is the contraction of Zoetrope, which is a series of moving pictures. So, since Zoe seems to be linked to the gallery function, I am not sure of its real utility.

http://blog.htc.com/2013/03/htc-one-zoe-camera/
When’s the best time to use Zoe? Whenever you want to to capture the perfect photo. After all, you don’t want to miss the moment if you aren’t quick enough (or perhaps just too fast) to capture the best part of the shot. HTC Zoe turns your smartphone into a living photo gallery of memories and interests. After all, capturing a moment takes more than a single image.

http://www.htc.com/www/smartphones/htc-one/#how-tos
Bring your gallery to life with HTC Zoe
Inject life and emotion into your memories using HTC Zoe. Then, share them right away on HTC Share.

HTC One uses the native built-in audio DAC in Krait;
Galaxy S4 uses WM5102 Wolfson audio DAC

Wolfson is better

Nothing worried for me. I never intend repair myself.

Camera still in good output, it might not the best but still enough.

If need to claim warranty better had it happen several months later. Otherwise highly doubt immediately available ready stocks to have a new unit replaced. This is one phone where you cannot even afford to drop if replacing even the casing n display is so difficult

HTC One phones (Snapdragon 600), sampling at 48kHz which is a joke vmad.gif
https://twitter.com/supercurio/status/312378336972242944

Exynos version of Galaxy S IV uses superb wolfson DAC biggrin.gif

HTC may blind the mass with boom sound/stereo speaker/other mumbo-jumbo but my ear will cringe hearing a 48kHz. We need a petition for its audio to make it a justice.

Too bad that HTC One delay their launch...

Can't wait anymore coz it's very inconvenient for me not to have a smart phone in this time(phone was stolen last month)

So bye bye HTC One even though i love the design, also wanna support 'small' company

Lol, your point being? The last pic shows the earphone jack opening. That's not a dent or ding.

The 2nd last pic shows the glass laminated touch screen. Until I have the phone in my hand, I can't tell whether it is supposed to look like that.
