QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 15 2013, 07:19 AM) My 2 days love affair with the HTC One ended this morning. It is without doubt a great smartphone. Those planning to get it will not regret. The best HTC I have used to date. I would have like to get it myself if the display is at least 5 inches . HTC unresolved settings to hide the 3 dot menu that appears at bottom was another deterrent. Maybe custom roms will be a solution. Strange this can be hidden in the Butterfly but not allowed in this HTC1. Thousand Thanks Uncle Benny Would like to see more feedbacks from present users. My 2 days impression n thoughts could be inaccurate n please do correct those you think is wrong. Finally andrewtwl : you should receive your unit tomorrow as I will be sending it out this morning. But i sell it after a day using, maybe i dont like the Sense 4, the sound quality also not what i expected. Well i really put high hope on One, hope this beast wont disappointed me. |

The battery seems not bad, mine set can last for around 2 days.
2 days 10 call, 100 SMS, 1.5 hour online chat + downloaded apps, now still left 52% |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 24 2013, 03:57 PM) Think twice n thrice. Based on several guys comments at Spore hardwarezone.sg, seems the S4 is laggier vs HTC One and I also saw several youtube videos showing such too. Of course you can drop the TW UI and use other 3rd party launchers and still have TW features except its widgets. Best is to get a hands on first. I will give you my impressions later as I will be in KL this Saturday and will pop over to LowYat to have a look at the S4. I might even pick one up if I am impressed enough I'm still dilemma Uncle Benny. But after using One around a week, still very satisfied Latest GIZMODO? comments on S4 software : excerpt - read with pinches of salt. I do not quite agree on her words on HTC One about " scrolls smoother, opens apps speedier " as I don't feel it is so . It is just normal to me vs , say with Xperia Z, Note 2, Butterfly But the software's worst offense? It makes the phone slow. Well, not slow, exactly, but much slower than it should be. The Galaxy S4 has a 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600 processor. The HTC One has the exact same processor, but it's only clocked to 1.7GHz. So the S4 should be faster, right? Wrong. Despite that fact that the S4 benchmarks better, the HTC One leaves the S4 in the dust in every practical way possible. The One boots up three times faster, navigates the UI quicker, scrolls smoother, opens apps speedier, and most importantly, takes photos with no shutter lag, whereas the Galaxy S4 generally takes about a second to fire off a shot. But sometimes i feel like Samsung UI more suitable me to use. Anyway i will wait your opinion after this Saturday. Thanks 1st. This post has been edited by alfredtwl: Apr 24 2013, 04:33 PM |

Last night to digi change the plan, and fast fast test the S4 demo set.
Hmm... They put S3 beside S4, I can't notice which 1 is S4 at first sight. The screen very nice and bright compare with One. Very responsive, but it's similar with One. Sound quality and loudness can't par with One. Hehe .... Camera quality seems not bad. Just test for a white coz got ppl behind me queue to test. I think i won't change to S4 this time. 1st time I didn't change for Samsung flagship. |

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Apr 28 2013, 08:20 AM) I wont test until both phones available first. Otherwise i might buy the first phone that available in market...lolz Ya maybe 1.9 ghz Snapdragon processor will faster than One. Audio loudness/volume of course One win since it have dual speakers. For quality need to use headset for comparison. Will wait for One first then only decide.. This post has been edited by alfredtwl: Apr 28 2013, 08:41 AM |
