QUOTE(Xirality @ Mar 29 2013, 11:19 PM) why would someone want to open up such beautiful phone even the glass not replacable? Needs a heat gun to loosen it and a suction cup to remove it. I don't know if that's actually good engineering serviceability practice. How will you secure the screen again?

QUOTE(Xirality @ Mar 29 2013, 11:19 PM) why would someone want to open up such beautiful phone even the glass not replacable? It can be replaced, but extremely difficult » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « The first thing discovered by the iFixit team is it is virtually impossible to remove any component without damaging the case and plastic bands. From that end, it may mean that any internal damage or malfunction will need a full phone replacement, or a few months in the disassembly, repair and reassembly line. The thing is, no shop repairman will be able to fix or replace any parts for you.
Many of the device’s internal parts like the motherboard and camera are covered with copper shielding. Placing this shielding back is as problematic as ironing out a crumpled aluminum foil, which means that it is virtually impossible without any specialized tools. The only choice you have with internal damage is to buy a new device or send it in to HTC and see if they will even bother trying to repair it. The good news is HTC might simply give you a new device rather than go through the hassle of repairing your damaged device.
The battery is also a big problem. Batteries are known to wear out over time, and in many cases, these batteries bulge as it gets older. The battery is tightly encapsulated and sandwiched by important internal parts. It is worrying to think that your battery may simply damage the internals as it gets old and gets “bigger” thereby adding pressure to its surrounding parts. Oh yeah, replacing it is hellish too.
It looks like you can’t count on this device when it breaks. It is just built to have One life. Several markings in the device may indicate that people from HTC never expected anyone to be able to open the device. Once it breaks inside, your options are extremely limited. If you do plan to get the HTC One, make sure you have insurance on this thing. External durability is marred by internal vulnerability in this device. HTC must have enough replacement for RMA purpose. with the phone seems like very difficult to repair. one-to-one exchange is the only way. HTC Malaysia better dont screw up. Imagine phone send for warranty but got no replacement stock. people gonna rage.

Pouch for me is acceptable. This phone body match my Retina Macbook Pro eh If im not wrong, this is the highest PPI phone now right? Even Butterfly, XZ and S4 lost.

QUOTE(joytest @ Mar 29 2013, 11:45 PM) Coz it's only 4.7", not 5" 4.7" with 1080p, one handed navigate + 1080p. Best of both world. 5" and 4.7" different is quite big. Compared with my Butterfly and Nexus 4 HTC One will be perfect for people who want best quality yet portable

Compared with my Butterfly and Nexus 4 HTC One will be perfect for people who want best quality yet portable you didn't get what he meant. it has a higher ppi because the screen is smaller compared to S4. and what nonsense are you talking about?! S4 has a bigger screen at 5" but it's slightly slimmer and almost the same size as the S3 which in turn is almost the same size as the Htc One. HELLO? best quality? said who? you? because your opinion takes precedence over everyone else? and speaking of portability, go read reviews my dear friend, almost all vouched that the S4 is much more comfortable to hold compared to One.
