QUOTE(gark @ Apr 4 2013, 05:16 PM) Another Bullish reportThis is just the beginning for Cypark This is just the beginning for CyparkBusiness & Markets 2013Written by theedgemalaysia.com Tuesday, 02 April 2013 09:41CypARK RESOURCES BHD [] (April 1, RM1.61) Maintain outperform at RM1.62 with a target price of RM2.82: Cypark remains an “outperform” with an unchanged discounted cash flow-based (Re: 11.7%) target price. No dividends are expected. The stock could be catalysed by the successful roll-out of new renewable energy (RE) projects and the signing of the Ladang Tanah Merah landfill concession. Core earnings per share for the first quarter of 2013 financial year ending October (1QFY13) was 13% of our and consensus full-year estimate but this is deemed in line as we expect 15mw of RE capacity to come online in the second half (2H), raising total capacity by 83% to 33mw. RE revenue is accelerating as 1QFY13 RE revenue accounted for 81% of total RE revenue for FY12. Revenue for 1Q rose by 20.6% to RM51 million due to the start of Cypark’s solar farm in Pajam and higher earnings from its waste-to-energy projects. At the same time, total costs rose by 26.8% to RM39.7 million as the company is aggressively putting up RE projects in Malaysia. Management aims to add 15mw of RE capacity in FY13, mainly in 2H. This will increase Cypark’s total RE capacity by 83% to 33mw by end-FY13. The higher start-up cost has offset Cypark’s top line growth, leading to a 6.4% decline in earnings before interest and tax to RM10.1 million. Cypark paid a low tax rate of only 6.4% in 1Q due to the tax-free status of its RE projects and deductibility of some expenses. As a result, core net profit rose marginally by 1.3% to RM6.6 million. The revenue from Cypark’s RE projects is gaining momentum. The company ended FY12 with a total RE capacity of 18mw and aims to add 15mw in FY13. The bulk of its new RE projects will come onstream in 2H so we expect a higher contribution from RE in 2H. Sales from RE were RM4.3 million in 1Q, which already forms 81% of the total RE revenue that Cypark earned in FY12. In addition to its MoU in Myanmar, Cypark believes it can replicate its RE model in other Asean countries such as Thailand, which already has a feed-in-tariff mechanism in place. — CIMB Research, March 31 This article first appeared in The Edge Financial Daily, on April 2, 2013. QUOTE(gark @ Apr 5 2013, 12:25 PM) Don't know hor.. those value stocks after rise in price not so undervalue anymore... so sell loh. But if undervalued stocks move , really can move big time one. Then rotate money find even lower value ones... Last year , there was Takaful, this year could be UEM , Diamond etc . If u odeli wait for 5 years , then to harvest only 30% gain, could be a waste liao. Not saying u are wrong, and I am right anyway. This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Apr 5 2013, 12:31 PM |

Ii is quite wrong to assume those co taking loans, cannot keep cash and pay good dividends as well. Digi is always distributing good dividends from their cash account, meanwhile taking loans for their capex. YTL Power was another, but Wimax could not generate enough good cash flow. It is how well they manage their free cash flow counts. I could be wrong anyway. This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Apr 5 2013, 01:05 PM |

QUOTE(foofoosasa @ Apr 5 2013, 07:06 PM) One simple reason is that this approach more often you can 20 - 50% if you get corrected, but rarely people will put concentrated amount of wealth in those stocks. Applying uncle buffet's one of his famous quote : " it better to buy wonderful company at fair price rather than fair company at wonderful price." but can't even found 1 blue chips that I like the price in here now Cannot find one right now |

QUOTE(foofoosasa @ Apr 5 2013, 07:24 PM) see how people define lo. Like doing FA or TA, different people see different things mah. Probably u need to read the " diamond true story " .maybe there are some blue chips at least at fair price, just I dunno. keep finding and finding. Here don't have go other market lo...earning other place while waiting. The morale of the story is most people travel far to seek the so called blue chips/diamonds , rm 10, 50 100 and above. But never care to look at one own back yards. Well, when reits were traded at below rm one, only 1 or 2 persons here think they are diamonds, now turning out to be. Russell H. QUOTE(gark @ Apr 6 2013, 09:29 AM) IMHO Not all cheap stocks (as in market cap) with low PE is volatile and dangerous to invest. If it is a speculative play then yes it's risky, but there are lots of them with good fundamentals. In fact there are quite a few which graduated to blue chips over time as well. Brother , well said . There is a difference in 'cheap' on valuation, market cap and price. Some of my 'cheap' (low PE) stocks have prices that rival blue chips. You can find safe, low PE, fundamentally sound companies with low market caps. Not all blue chips are wonderful companies, but you definitely pay higher price for it. I like these range of stocks, no need to compete against those 'fun' managers. I am proud to say I never held a KLCI index stock before, as before i find their valuation appalling. If later the value shines, then I might buy some. P/S Your post is 3.30 am.. no need to sleep ah brother yok. My Asiatic ( Genting PLantation ) last time used to be super penny at 50sen, but did not close shop. TDM was another. PBB was once at 88sen ( 50sen par value ) . Even during recessions, many blue chips could go super slim ones. Mass Staff retrenchments and so on. Most of the Euro Banks were once shinny Blue Chips too, what happened now And those newspaper blue chip companies could be gone in the next century MISC is one good case of rotting blue chip. QUOTE(foofoosasa @ Apr 6 2013, 10:59 AM) My portfolio grown bigger, buying good company with minimal supervision become first preference. Can go for co with good cash flow one mah. while investing in these really wonderful company, people can focus on their own career too. You're right, true blue cheap indeed occurs once or twice in decade. Even in downturn panic market, the price probably slighty below its fair value... Even Daiman , I do not think it is a blu chip in nature, but with good cash flow. Maybe in the future ......... And many times I see blu chip Banks simply spent money ( over paying ) to buy other banks/brokers in Billions too. What is the purpose behind their purposes This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Apr 6 2013, 11:53 AM |
