Just had Maxis installed today since Unifi can't be installed in my place due to some backdoor agreements with Maxis. Any tips on using the technicolor router? How can I set the router to auto use Google DNS? Also amazingly I can't use my company's DNS server even tho it works fine with any other ISP I have used before (TM Unifi, Celcom/Digi 3G, P1 Wimax and YES 4G)

Sadly not using Thompson as I am using Astro IPTV. I am using Technicolor router instead

comparing openwrt and ddwrt, wats the different between both of them ? well i am using my dir-615 (using ddwrt firmware). havent tested openwrt yet.

Hi everyone... I've been considering to switch from UniFi to Maxis when my contract expires this June, mainly for the lower price they are offering and Astro IPTV (I don't use HyppTV at all).

But after going through this thread, I think I'll stay with UniFi mainly due to the throttling of torrents.

I am currently using UniFi 20MBps, no issues or speed throttling for torrents. Just to check, anyone here who had no major issues with UniFi, switched to Maxis and then experienced the speed throttling? I'm asking because I want to find out if it is a location based issue (higher subscriber base, full enforcement of speed throttling; lower subscriber base, no throttling).

I heard Maxis Fibre will throttle speed from 8pm onwards daily, how can we bypass this ?

vdsl modem kaput, not the router. tp-link 1043 can't do shit about that. need to call up maxis and get the btu replaced.
