QUOTE(pikaphebat @ May 17 2013, 01:13 AM) Maxis is really bad.. Currently i haven't terminate Unifi so i'm running Unifi and Maxis at the same time. I can switch network anytime so i can do a comparison... Subscribe to Maxis (RM118) for nearly a year... maybe I one of those lucky one.... I'm not a gamer... but a heavy surfer and youtubing... if there is a new movie that I like I would torrent it every night.Ping is really bad on Maxis! Browsing also are not as fast Unifi, even google.com i had to wait 1 second before the page appears. Is this broadband????!! Even right now , i did a ping test to jaring.my. Unifi averaging me at 6ms... Maxis is averaging me 180ms.. sometimes it goes 250ms. You can't even ping properly a local server? Day to day use.. it's really irritating when you have to wait a second or 2 for a page to load. That is not broadband! For users who are thinking of switching, i wouldn't recommend it if you are a Internet critical user. Casual users and would like to save RM 80+ on the Astro package, may you have a better luck than me. I even thinking of terminating Maxis even though i just installed for a few days only. If not for the penalty.. It was a really bad decision of me switching side..and i'm using unifi network to post this.. ohh.. let's not talk about torrent... I'm satisfied with Maxis Fibre. QUOTE(kinghenry @ Aug 6 2013, 08:10 PM) is there any way to boost the speed of downloading? im using tixati, but been reading a few comments from this forum, some stating that utorrent better. or should i change my ip? @@ I believe Maxis cap the torrent tracker... when I try to download famous tracker like yify with high seed and leech the speed will be cap.. but download from less famous tracker... the speed is as usual.Sometimes I keep update the tracker for famous torrent like yify and in about 1/2 hour the speed will rise 6 time the cap limit. |

QUOTE(SupremeSS @ Jan 26 2014, 10:34 AM) Well.. I'm not facing the buffering issue in PC and Android. However, I got problem streaming ShowBox/MovieBox at exactly 9.30pm onwards... even on the lowest quality but no problem with XBMC streaming. if its is because of the caping... XBMC would also facing the same problem. |

QUOTE(frozzbyte @ Jan 27 2014, 11:11 AM) Can we use the 2 usb port on the Thomson router to connect external drive? I've tried attaching my thumb drive and external drive but it's not detected. Is there any settings that I need to enable first? Yes... drive format should be in Fat32 and to enable upnp server in the control panel... |
