Maxis fibre backbone shared with TM right? Why maxis one suffer so badly one?
Correct, but in certain areas, they use their own infrastructure. Even with a shared backbone, their routing are done differently. I almost never play Dota 2 on my Maxis Fibre connection because the latency is horrible. To get a clearer picture, I'm getting <10ms ping at my workplace (using Unifi) and >100ms ping at home (Maxis Fibre). Most times, with a cut submarine cable, if Unifi suffers, Maxis most likely will suffer too, but in this case, Unifi has been totally unaffected. One may come to the conclusion that, this is on Maxis' end, but of course we can never know for sure, since Maxis has not been transparent.

The download speeds for any sort of files for the whole week has been stable, but the browsing and ping inconsistencies have been bothering the living bollocks out of me.
Seriously man, trying to stream anything has been a nightmare, no matter on Twitch, Ustream, or even Youtube

I just want Maxis to state outright what went wrong with the network

Also, just saying that the web-surfing experience as of the current time of this posting has been alright; Youtube has a 8-9/10 chance of being fine, but that 10% is killing me;
reporting from Bayan Lepas, Penang
Sometimes websites just refuse to load fully for me, still. And still wondering what exactly went wrong with their network. They do acknowledge their Home Fibre is somewhat bogged down, via tweets, their forum, and facebook posts, but nothing was announced during the downtime, as it happened earlier in some places for some users.
Meanwhile
they posted on facebook about their call & mobile internet services disruption, but not so much of a peep, despite many complaints, on their official channels. To be fair, issues come and go, but it's just irresponsible to keep your customers in the dark, and to come up with a *promo* to gloss over this incident is downright insulting. More so, when people are still complaining about the still-not-ok service.
