QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Dec 26 2013, 02:57 PM) Actually I already got two pretty good router. DIR655 and Apple Time Capsule which I bought during SiS warehouse sale few years back. Im planning to cover the whole house with just a single router but if I did that, those two, plus the homeplug will be useless. Sigh... sell to me..

QUOTE(jieming @ Jan 2 2014, 09:25 PM) Hey guys. I have an option to switch over to Maxis now. Unifi contract finished, and also moving back to renovated house. So should I do it? Maxis packages are real tempting to me. I can double my speed (10 to 20Mbps), with some discount if using Maxis postpaid or Astro IPTV. But the inconsistency and speed throttling makes me worry. I have read pages of comments here, but I want to ask again, does it happen randomly? Thanks! How about ABN 10mbps?????

QUOTE(hiechelon @ Jan 24 2014, 09:19 PM) I've switched from UNIFI 5Mbps to Maxis 10Mbps and I'm quite regretful. Maxis Fiber Home is VERY unstable. 1 day I'll get great speed and other days it's just SLOW, I mean worse than Streamyx slow. I read Maxis Forum which teaches to power cycle sequence which I follow, but I start to believe Maxis is now cheating us. Let me explain. 1. I am trying to apply for Maxis Forum account but it does not go past 1st page. 'Proceed to step 2' never work. I think too many complaints Maxis doesn't want any people to join 2. I try speedtest on both speedtest.maxis.com.my and speedtest.net (i chose singapore). Both are by OOKLA. Both also shows close to 10Mbps speed. hor seh right? wrong!! You exabyte speedtest and only has 200+ kbps!! I then close all test and open new browser windows, try normal page like google search, facebook, youtube and it's damn 9 slow. Immediately try speedtest.net, it shows close to 10Mbps!! Damn Maxis!!! Thanks for your info, I have the same thoughts too...

QUOTE(jitd @ Feb 4 2014, 10:12 PM) This question has probably been asked many times. But can anyone confirm that maxis throttles p2p? If so what is the average speed? Planning to switch from VIP5 to IPTV 10mbps. Better stay where you are, maintain your position...

QUOTE(lalachong @ Feb 25 2014, 09:35 PM) "Maxis says that fibre cost is high & “it is challenging to work with TM operationally” http://www.malaysianwireless.com/2014/02/m...-operationally/Does this mean we may be cut? If can't solve, yes maybe will close down......
