i am goping to cancel my unifi and subscribe maxis home fiber. is it a good move? see so many ppl complaint service down and maxis slow respond.... but the Rm128 for 10mbps is cheap.

Maxis always full of bullcrap. Previous contracted user sign for RM168 minus RM20 per month if you are Maxis user. Now price reduced a bit.

Luckily I used my sister oku card and get 50% off RM168.

What's so bullshit about that?

Is it true that MAXIS FTTH is offered to OKU with a 50% discount? So 10MBPS for only rm79?

Discontinued already. I paid RM84 for 10Mbps.

Now only left Unifi OKU. Although you cant get sub RM100 broadband, you can get Unifi 20Mbps for RM159. Or VIP 10 at RM149 or VIP 5 at RM119. Personally feel VIP20 the best bang. Can ask if neighbour wanna share, then can dip below RM100.

Initially wanted Unifi but that time Axiata very stingy, dont want to offer OKU package. Then Maxis came up with the idea. Somehow it was pulled back after 1-2months and suddenly Unifi introduce OKU package. Now my parents home had Unifi 20Mbps while the old house had FTTH 10Mbps.

Still going strong here with Maxis Home Fibre 10mb RM118 (Early subscriber)

I really wish to change to Maxis Fibre. But still have half a year contract to go with unifi. Am paying RM170+ for the 10mbps package which is very high as one can get 20mbps for that price with maxis

I'm on streamyx now but contemplating to upgrade to either Unifi or IPTV (Astro + Maxis Fiber).

How had Maxis been, do they resolve issues fast. Looking at 2-3 pages ago of this thread, is kinda scary, where it takes them so long to fix.

Is the torrent throttle real? how long it gets? normally for 10Mb line, one should be about to get download speed to around 1MBps, so is yours close to that, and how low it gets during the throttle period (8pm -2am?)

I am on Maxis and below are some consideration before I migrated from Unifi to Maxis

a) BTU kaput and need replacement - the procedure will take ages, Workaround is to find backup BTU (same brand) and configure it your self.

b) Maxis router - very sucky in term of torrenting and WiFi, but easy solution. It can be replaced with custom router

c) Fiber network at your place down, this will take ages too since priority will be given to Unifi subscriber.

Maxis FFTH down since ytd night...light not up for AUTH and LINK...any idea? Checked the connection behind...all ok...but can't conform on the outside...Don't know whether is Maxis down or whatsoever ...gonna call them soon
