Thanks for all the reply and support for lego technic community service biggrin.gif notworthy.gif thumbup.gif

It seems quite a number of member here interest on the mobile crane (and other set as well)
and some members willing to do community service as well notworthy.gif

For the mobile crane, just have to wait until August (still few more months to go) and see how...

Btw, dunno if you guys will consider this community service or not... Found Black Pearl, Queen Anne's Revenge and 8043 Motorised Exacavator with my supplier:

1. 4184 Black Pearl (Qty: 2) RM750-800
2. 4195 Queen Anne's Revenge (Qty: 3) RM850-900
3. 8043 Motorised Excavator (Qty: 2-4) RM1000-1050

The above is based on my estimate inclusive of shipping and import tax. I already tried nego but that's the final price since it is discontinued set. I'm so glad I bought a few sets of the excavator is December! Price will be finalised when cleared customs and whatever savings passed back to buyer.

Cheers!

Ps. Mod pls remove this post if considered to be a sales post. Just reporting what I found. icon_rolleyes.gif

shocking.gif The 8043 Motorised Excavator cost RM1000? shocking.gif
hmm.gif Will the mobile crane MKII also cost the same as well...

8043 cost that much because it is an old and discontinued set. When I bought my 8043 last time it was well below 1k since it just came out and still in production. I do not think the MKII will cost more than 1k too since even the Unimog and crawler is still below the 1k mark when it was first released.

Same like Green Grocer, Cafe Corner where it is so @#$%$#@$# expensive due to it being out of production already.

Mostly nice set, price shot up sky high after discontinued. Hehe
*
QUOTE(Lego_Jason @ Mar 28 2013, 09:44 PM)
No la... 8043 Motorised Excavator price shot up because it is a discontinued and highly desirable set. The Mobile Crane MKII shouldn't cost so much but I have yet to really explore the pricing. If you look at the piece count versus that of 8110 Unimog you should get an idea of pricing.... Perhaps other members can share some insights into the pricing?
*
Thanks for all the price info notworthy.gif
hmm.gif I guess the price range will be about RM500-RM1000
hmm.gif I think better get the mobile crane by this year drool.gif rclxm9.gif or else the price will shot up sky high shocking.gif mad.gif vmad.gif

BTW, found some leftover for Shell Lego at Shell Station that I visited today... only the truck and white car remain...

Hmmm...given the size my guess will be between RM800-1000 if someone bring it in. (RM600-700 retail in USA/EU + RM100-200 for shipping and tax)

No need to rush for it la... It's a new release so it should be around for 2-3 years at least. Small sets have shorter product life cycle than bigger sets imho.

*
QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Mar 29 2013, 10:26 AM)
This is the latest update/rumour I know so far: 42009 Mobile Crane MK II has 2606 pieces and estimate retail at USD$220 in US. RRP expectation here will be (220 x 3 x 1.3) = RM850 before any discount. About RM800-900  hmm.gif
Let me update my own info on first page.

8110 Unimog (largest Technic set so far) has ~2048 pieces.

That would be about an increase of 558 pieces 27%

*
Thanks for all the info about the mobile crane notworthy.gif
Better start saving $$$ now to prepare for the CS when it is available drool.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

The train sets quite tempting for me as well especially the green color one...
I also wish to have a set of Lego train set when I was kid...

However now no more place display the train set(the train track require quite large of space...)
and no more budget by now(targeting two Lego Technic set and one of it will be available this year drool.gif rclxm9.gif )

Maybe in future if space and $$$ issue solve icon_rolleyes.gif

yeah, I gotta admit I am more active in BoM now. I still read this forum everyday, just haven't been posting much. 1 of the reason is also that my Blackberry is hopeless when it comes to accessing this forum.

How old do you guys (those who have met me) think I am ? 1 free CMF minifigure for the right answer..... cool2.gif
*
Hard to guess for me hmm.gif but will try my luck for the free CMF minifigure drool.gif
is 46 the correct one?

anyway, try my new camera (want to spam as well)

sorry for non-lego related things

Not the stig, but it's his Asian Lego cousin. The Stigo !!

Some say he likes to mix up all his bricks in a pile and builds it in the dark  rclxms.gif

haha... Ya, The Stigo... I like it!

Bought for <RM500. Repeat: used set. Not yet ship it back, will take a long time before I can touch it.  sweat.gif If you want pneumatic parts only, suggest to just get it from Bricklink sellers. Way cheaper than paying premium price. But this 8455 comes with the most pneumatics so far ... 10x cylinder (47224c01) , 2x pump (2797c02) , lengths of tubes ...  thumbup.gif

Ughhh... I just check Bricklink, the average price starts from RM20+ for new/used pneumatic-cylinder and ~RM10+ per pump). 10x means RM200+ already  sweat.gif  not yet count shipping.

Actually, sometimes it's better to buy a complete set box and salvage parts from there. Much cheaper per part cost, and less hassle on ordering/delivery.
np  icon_rolleyes.gif  This set still in SG, pending shipping back to KL. In the meantime, I'm doing testing/mod on 8110 and 9398.

Saw some killer 8043 mods on Internet, wait for it  brows.gif
*
pneumatic parts quite attractive for me...
I'm also plan to buy Lego parts for replacement of my old Lego set (some parts are missing/broken when I play it long long time ago)
hope to find "The Stigo" as well...
but need to calculate budget first...

Yeah, pneumatic are more realistic like hydraulic. But quite difficult to control, and can't 100% remote, need long bunch of tubes. Otherwise, can create a motorized-pump and remote control switches, but that will need more motor and remotes. Will be huge and heavy.

To spice things up, anyone interested in a bulk order for lone ranger sets?  drool.gif
*
I quite interest for the stagecoach escape (79108) and cavalry builder set (79106) drool.gif

BTW, anyone know when will lone ranger sets available at stores? (TRU, parkson...)

But i think the price from seller here or the bulk order may better than the stores biggrin.gif
