Last time the parts are generic and very easy to spot . Now there are too many specialised parts and the size are getting smaller and smaller. Even though the parts:price ratio doesn't change much compared to 20 years ago, LEGO company actually cram alot of tiny 1x1 round parts into their sets making it felt like "wow .. so many part for rm100! worth the price." .
When I opened new set to play around... I ALWAYS mix all the parts together despite instructions warning us not to do so. I love finding parts during assembly coz it prolong my enjoyment . And it enhances our hand-eye coordination skill too.
Last time to assemble a vehicle, it gives a lot of enjoyment because you build using tiny tiny pieces up to the whole thing is done. For example, Lego 6594 Octan truck, it seriously enjoy! because you build the chassis, the axle and stuff... later on after a few years, I bought a set where it just gives me the whole bottom chassis that is manufactured into one single block, and I was like "What the.... how come so simple one?" When I opened new set to play around... I ALWAYS mix all the parts together despite instructions warning us not to do so. I love finding parts during assembly coz it prolong my enjoyment . And it enhances our hand-eye coordination skill too.

Yup... I miss the moment u found a brick when u thought it is lost... And u was so happy when u figured out it is hiding in the bricks!
P/s: i dont like to arrange the bricks according to colors or size.. How many of u actually do this?
Its seriously in the most exciting mood when you found it.. and when you accidentally lost it, then you will seriously have big headache trying to scan through the floor, under the carpet, behind the door wondering where was the freaking piece...P/s: i dont like to arrange the bricks according to colors or size.. How many of u actually do this?
