mine is a 30gb ipod video.. neva fall or anything b4.. but i notice tht there is this sound coming frm my hdd when i start up my ipod..
neva noticed it b4 earlier...
can anyone try it out with their ipod and let me know???

WORRIED.....

i dont know which sound that u r talking about but im having a kind of worrying sound from my ipod(video) too. it's kind of hard/deep ticking sound whenever it's starting or opening new videos. but i think it's normal since i noticed it since the day it arrived. anyone have different opinion?

and btw, i noticed my ipod got hissing sound. it's quite annoying especially i put the volume one step above 0. however when i put lower it to 0, the hissing stop. i started to notice this when i start to use new creative in-ear earphone. maybe the in-ear bud amplify this hissing but i dont know.

The HDD sound should be normal especially when it wakes up from the "deep sleep" mode or when its loading a large file.

Hmmm, interesting... Never knew that such a sound can be heard from an iPod... Does it sound like the one that slowing-down PCs make?

erm... din notice tht hissing sound though

erm... i think tht is when i notice the sound.. when it is waking up...
playing large files.. erm.. neva hear the sound at all...
