normally umobile when no coverage it will auto switch network to celcom. It will hop over their network. Its not a big issue. Maybe the location you're in is out of the cell tower reach.

Applicable for local roaming as well.

I have a u mobile line. When outside umobile coverage, it will roam to maxis line. The 3G signal icon on notification bar will show a 'R' sign as well.

Means if there is an R on the top, it's eligible for local roaming? Was in Klang earlier and cannot detect any signal. But R was on 5 bars. Didn't allow roaming because sked they charge extra. Now I know smile.gif

Then it will use the umobile connection instead. So that they don't have to pay maxis to use their cell tower and service.. biggrin.gif

So should propose to Umobile to rent from Maxis at Genting to accommodate more umobile subscribers. Unless they trying to tell you that you go on holiday in Genting. U don't need your data. U should focus on holiday and not your handphone. brows.gif

Yup,umobile is one of the fastest telco I had ever use, even after reaching quota, speed never changed, but the speed in genting sucks and 1st day no signal, can't really expect much biggrin.gif

Haha, Internet has become a necessity after all the social networking sites become popular. Bring a spare broadband maybe?
