IINM you can, and it should be no wipe. Flashoholics can confirm. Not for your phone?

Nope, my mom's.

If it's mine, surely I'll take the risk. LOL. But if the firmware belongs to other countries, still can be used right? smile.gif

As I said, IINM. But since I haven't been flashing for a while, the flashoholics are the best ones to answer this. But why would your mom chase firmware updates laugh.gif

Question, if we download firmwares from different countries on sammobile via pc odin, is it safe? As in any files will be wiped? Coming from a non rooted phone.

Her phone is still running on 4.0.3, so was thinking of upgrading to 4.1.2 India's version for S2 ma since they have JB already tongue.gif

**WARNING**

https://blog.lookout.com/blog/2013/04/19/th...re-google-play/

Overview
Lookout has discovered BadNews, a new malware family, in 32 apps across four different developer accounts in Google Play. According to Google Play statistics, the combined affected applications have been downloaded between 2,000,000 – 9,000,000 times. We notified Google and they promptly removed all apps and suspended the associated developer accounts pending further investigation. All Lookout users are protected against this threat.

How it Works
Once activated, BadNews polls its C&C server every four hours for new instructions while pushing several pieces of sensitive information including the device’s phone number and its serial number (IMEI) up to the server.

The C&C server replies with instructions telling BadNews what to do next. Available instructions include displaying (fake) news to users, and prompting for installation of a downloaded app payload.

I think the Russian mafia are among the most well funded non-legit organisations around whistling.gif and so many willing to part with their money...... and China is probably learning from them as well.

Battery life sucks.

Let's hope Samsung does some optimizations for Note 3.

my phone detects a new software update so I had the new update downloaded and installed
but after the update is successfully installed, the phone keeps downloading the update again and keeps installing it
and the cycle goes on unless I disabled the wifi to stop downloading the update

does anyone here has the same issue as mine?

Hahahahha ... yes no wonder I recall seeing it from someone's iPad. I personally find the interface somewhat unintuitive. Mind sharing a bit how to get the drawing note active? I tried it briefly last night and couldn't get it to show a new blank drawing note.

I cant download the apk rclxub.gif , a blank note is shown after the sign + pressed and then click on the pin showing camera location drawing. Aint sure about the android version never tried before. Its not in PlayStore iirc. This app is port in by someone else ? hmm.gif

Edit : did some google about it and found it was extracted from note 8 biggrin.gif
