*ANNOUNCEMENT*

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1cVbZDLC6y2...c/viewanalytics

Yay all !!!!

I managed to recreate the Kernel form, with VERSION SELECTION DROPDOWN !!!!

And I've also resubmitted all prior responses (luckily there were only 12) so data is complete as of today, and those who submitted earlier do not need to resubmit.

If you are trying a new kernel, or a new version, do please submit again then.

Most popular is Perseus (10) then 1 for Redpill and Adam each.

Click the link above to see the results.

Will post up the updated survey form after this to post 10 and my sig link.

antt00, I've made the versions in chronological sequence so that maintaining is easy. Just add the latest version to the next Option in the form.

Now I'm going to work on the Kernel form. I discovered that the "Option" in the Dropdown list is actually movable !!!! This makes maintenance a lot easier after the effort for the first cut.

Ok will add. What were the prior versions between 1.01 and 1.47? I'll just add them for completeness' sake.

UPDATE: added 1.42, 1.45, 1.47

Go forth and submit.

Well .... 6 months down the road, Note II is STILL A CONTENDER !!!!

The 4 Best Android Phones Available Right Now
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/the-4-best-an...able-right-now/

Galaxy Note II

Why it’s great: This phablet proved that some users will happily buy a cross between a smartphone and tablet rather than two separate devices. The fact the Galaxy Note II has excellent hardware no doubt helped the case – inside you’ll find one of the strongest quad-core processors on the market, gobs of RAM, an SD card slot that can handle up to a 64GB card and a huge battery.

And then there’s the stylus. Samsung has found some innovative ways to make it an essential device for texts, document editing and web navigation. There’s no other Android phone that can provide more value to consumers who productivity on-the-go.

This may indicate that rooting of an S4 will have another obstacle, since stuff like this depends on secure keys to keep the Enterprise Admins happy.

Please read the article linked here:

And also go to post 4 and read the Reviews and Testimonies. If you can handle the size, this is the best device.

but why blink.gif does the plastic feeling bother you?
*
Both the 920 and Note 2 are BOTH "plastic" ie polycarbonate. They just have different finishing based on different design philosophies.

If you can't stand it then get a HTC One for its premium, easily dentable aluminium with no sdcard slot.

I was also considering the 920 before I bought the Note2 and toiled over it for many moons. I am not bias and believe you me, the former is not even close compared to this. There are perhaps one or 2 features the 920 outshine the Note2 but overall, it really cannot compete.

However, the decision is ultimately yours to make.

Get an Otterbox Defender or Consumer then. Do not get those pretend-cases that are really just fancy back covers that expose the top and bottom bezel.

At least get something that encases the entire phone.

BTW All,

Remember, you CAN SUBMIT multiple times for the ROM or Kernel surveys. Whenever you try a new version or new type, please post an entry.

I'll try to post up a beta ROM survey tonight. I'm thinking of making it similar to the kernel survey, with very similar checkbox options.

I welcome anyone who has suggestions or recommendations to add/modify to the survey design.
