as per topic title, planning to replace speakers but not sure which one, German Maestro C6508 if not mistaken, any low end Morel, or MB Quart DSE 216. I have an amp powering sub woofer already. Now just left to change speakers only. Please enlighten me on which one i should choose.

Do i really need an amp? My friend had a C6508 installed without an amp. After installing amp, he only notice slight difference. Then he upgrade his multimedia HU to Pioneer AVH8450, not much difference except more tuning only.

My budget is around 2k++

Is cs6508. Yes maestro is the best among them. Can u share more detail for ur setup? Sound proof ady? And using wat head unit?

sometimes, upgrading are only a good solution for people that know "how to listen". If one guy cant even know what to listen in music, spending 10k will only let him have a more louder setup in the common way....

instead of good music, i would say good recording....get urself a good ori cd with good recording and hear the difference

Try HDCD 24db.. Ok la... maybe need more intrumental + Vocal

HDCD 24 bit is just the media and their recording h/w capabilities spec...Sound inside are different

you can record a very bad sound and use a HDCD to store the file and call it hdcd....

i notice older recordings before the 90s are good for serious listening
they don't play loud because got tons of headroom
we just need to turn the volume up
e.g Santana abraxas, miles davis quintet, the cure disintergration
try to plot these albums in audio tools (like soundforge) and we can see,,,,,,,,,,

always read the recording facilities, who is the sound engineers, equipment used list etc etc...

thats way you are buying a HDCD for the quality.... otherwise you are only buying a HDCD badge...

MB Quart and German Maestro is a same company....old skol brand is mb quart...now,they change to new brand,German Maeastro...for me,if u want change 'bunyi kampung' to clarity sound,i think u no need an amplifier....enought just used a double din head unit (not chicken chop) like pioneer,kenwood,nakamichi,alpine,sony etch....but,surely i will choose nakamichi or alpine....for the speaker,used original brand...dont put FAKE speaker into ur car...!! it's rubbish n waste ur money.....b4 buy the model,do some research how to trace FAKE model like FOCAL brand....for the example,FOCAL brand is good for sound from france...but,they have FAKE in Malaysia....to trace it,look at the box and u can compare who is FAKE and ORIGINAL.....

Before u change ur speaker,must be know what is:
1)full range speaker
2)mid range speaker
3)mid bass speaker
4) 2 way speaker
5) 3 way speaker
Dont just buy n plug into ur car...it's bcoz,hampir smua jnis speaker ni in one size....mostly in 6.5 inch...if u buy wrong speaker,u will be lost clarity sound....

Salah letak jenis2 speaker ni,guna speaker mahal pun tetap xdapat bunyi yg clarity...

2) 2 pieces tweeter MB Quart
3) front: 2 lightning audio 6.5 2 way
4) rear: 2 MA Audio 6.5 2 way
5) 12 inch SOny xplod sub with MONO amp Memphis
Lastly,to test ur ICE,used music that have all instrument like piano,drum,bass,2nd guitar,loceng,dll.......just my opinion and idea to share.....we can learn with other person....

***CLARITY SOUND IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN HIGH VOLUME SOUND***
