Guys, just wondering how many of you have this issue when lifting heavier than the norm.. I feel pain on my forearms when I try to increase anything above 50-60lbs when I attempt curls using the ez bar. I'm only stuck with hammer curls now should I want to do biceps training... Any advice on this.. It doesn't seem to recover easy as well... Or am I doing it wrong...

LOL on the masturbation reply~ thanks bro, coz i was thinking what was wrong as initially when i started resistance training it doesn't hurt, but now its like almost close to 9 months and it started to hurt since the last 3 months and I haven't always gotten very heavy with my weights coz my strength is weak..perhaps i may have injured myself when i started off.. really no idea... i'm wondering though, coz i have been reading through a few articles, is DOMS really necessary to be a 'sign' that we did really work hard on that particular day... i read but have seen mixed answers and there isn't a solid answer on this. I'm asking from you guys experience coz i still do get DOMS every now and then for shoulders and the back and chest but hardly on the biceps...i kinda thought it was due to not lifting heavy enough but i have no way of increasing the workload due to the pain... would like to hear the thoughts from you guys =) thanks all for the answer!!

QUOTE(keagan @ Mar 26 2013, 11:09 PM) thanks bro, i realized it hurts even when i do it standing or with preacher curls... when u have a weak grip, u put alot of stress on your wrist when curling. sometimes, heavy doesn't mean it's good, and this is especially true for biceps. go lighter, go slower. work on your form.

Perhaps really it's time to consider using those now...

ah yes, cable curls seem to reduce the pain a lot... can go heavier but without the pain when using dumb bells...so that's what it's called ...
