Okay, you need to understand that your ipad screen is made of 2 parts.
a) Glass Screen
b) LCD Touch Screen
Scenario A:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
When a person drops a phone and they see cracks yet the image behind is working.
Cause: The glass screen cracked and can be easily replaced.
Scenario B:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
When a person drops a phone and they see no crack yet the image of the phone is just blank white page.
Cause: The LCD is very sensitive, and thats why the glass screen exist to keep it protected. But the blank white page is due to LCD failure. Probably sufficient pressure? The replacement of this LCD screen is quite expensive.
I would say that your white spot is an LCD failure but probably just a few pixels at the edge. Therefore not so clear when projecting certain colours, like in your case, behind a grey or white background.
If you still have warranty (meaning no water damage too) then i would suggest you to bring back to Machine's/Maxis/Celcom/Digi to request a change/repair.
Hope this helps, my explanation may not be clear and specific but these is the least i know about iphone/ipad screens.
