Hi all, those using p770, if you try to edit the custom power setting, does it work? Each time I try to edit it will exit with error 'unfortunately lenovo power has stopped working'

Mine worked fine. smile.gif

battery isn't bad. Disconnected my phone from the charger at around 9 in the morning today.

Now my battery is 80% left.

Whole day use the phone for messaging, whatsapp and light surfing.

Will try on tethering next week as I am outstation and see how long a full charge can last. A fuss-free, reliable and dependable phone for SMEs. biggrin.gif

The only major downside is the horrendous camera.

Well, u can't ask too much from a 600 something's smartphone that have decent battery life and relatively smooth UI + performance, are u? tongue.gif

well, more or less the P770 fixes all the downfall of my Xperia neo L and the Neo L fixed all the downfall of the P770. laugh.gif

I still keep the neo L for its camera purpose until I find a suitable higher end model to replace it.

Yup, my S3 now only act as my music player and camera, almost forgot I own 1 lol. tongue.gif

I don't think you get the drift here.

In normal camera phone, the picture taken and viewed on phone is suppose to be as-true-as-possible representation of the actual colors and contrast of the scene taken. The P770 doesn't fail here. The failure is when transferred to PC, the color and contrast changes so much, the difference between the same picture in the P770 and in the PC monitor is almost heaven and earth. Colors are faded, noise level in dark ares are further amplified and the white balance is completely off no matter what is the setting.

This is a fact that plagued most camera phones in the market and it has absolutely no relation to pixel per inch or whatsoever. While most mid-range phone do suffers from the same issue, not much mid-range phones in the market that has the stark difference as big as the P770.

In the end this doesn't change the fact that this phone's camera is terrible and horrendous. I could even bet that my K800i photo quality is way better than what the P770 offers. If it isn't due to the camera, the p770 could be the cheap and cheerful phone. Now it is just a cheap and almost cheerful phone.

Haha, nice explanation here bro, main in fact i never use my p770 for photography purposes, S3 suits my taste right in this aspect. smile.gif

Discovered another weird issue.... For those using p770, if you install an app then move it to internal usb, then reboot, the app will be gone!! Have to reinstall it. Does anyone else have same problem?
*
App is there, just sometime when u reboot, the storage scan seems can't complete, so apps appeared to be gone, reboot again should solve the problem.

Try not to set quick reboot when power off.

Hi Guys,

Just a quick one.
Does anyone of P770 users had screen problem? ie lagging, irresponsive due to prolonged usage
Found out that this phone spec is very tempting, and once a CSL user, which the screen always had those problem after long hours of surfing/gaming.

Cheers
*
Buttery smooth on p770, almost as smooth as my S3. Mtk chip on top is godsend in gaming, very less heat produced even on long period gaming (tried wild blood for almost an hour), my S3 will produce unpleasant heat after about half and hours of gaming. Screen responsiveness wise is good less responsive compared to S3.

haven't tried games on my s890. thinking of trying wild blood, how big is the download size?
*
About 900mb in size, don't get y they say PowerVR 531T is inferior, almost every games I throwed at it played well.

Wild Blood
NFS Most Wanted
Asphalt 7
Modern Combat 3 Fallen Nation
Ravensword : Shadowland
Temple Run 2

And many more games on my p770, 1 i like the most is ePSXe which I spend most time on it, every ROM runs at constant 60fps. smile.gif

Wonder why Lenovo choose the outdated 40nm MTK6577 dual core when we already have 28nm MTK6589 quad core. We are moving to the 2H of 2013 for crying out loud!
*
Lenovo P770 is already sold in China around October 2012, the timeframe which MTK6589 is not ready for mass production. New models for Lenovo now mostly builded base on MTK6589. smile.gif

Futhermore dont really care as long as phone running smooth. tongue.gif

I see. So it has been around since October last year. This is kind of answer that i'm looking for. I guess now is about time they bring in models with MTK6589 and make a wider use of high capacity battery like the 3500mAh.
*
There will be the successor of p770 base on MTK6589 which soon to be launch, to carry a 4000mAh battery. smile.gif

Seriously to me, the only reason to buy p770, the monstrous 3500mAh battery. tongue.gif

Actually the phone not bad, but I need some times because this is my first android phone.
Wanna try to root the phone, but felt like it is very complicated.  cry.gif
Anyway to set the phone so that the app can install in SD card straight away. Bought a 32GB card for the phone...
*
At Setting > Storage

Set the Default Write Disk to SD storage, that simple. tongue.gif
