Hey guys,
what programme you all used to download BT file?

I heard Bit Comment is quite good, but it's for windowsXP. how about for Mac?
any one got any ideas?

you can try.... the only problem is the irritating message popping up once in a while asking you to buy, but that can be cancelled anytime....

using utorrent...
found it really nice and robust...
got rid of bitcomet n azureus liau.. not tht robust as compared to utorrent..
my bitcomet alwis delete my data after i remove "torrent only"

azureus and limewire pro makan memory like there's no tomorrow.... if i run both with large files in it, 1GB RAM also not enough....

limewire takes a lot of memory until my laptop tells me..insufficient virtual memory..all other applications will not be allowed. @_@

It is simply a rewrite, up front wise, of the mainline client. Inefficient, bloated and slow.

A native linux version is in the works. The current plan is to NOT have a GUI, but rather use the now in-beta testing WebUI, a "torrentflux" situation. The current uTorrent.exe for windows run absolutely fine in WINE, or Cedega.

As for OSX - Darwine didn't run it when I tried, probably because it is too much behind wine. I brought the subject of an OSX port in the dev channel just a few days ago, and was shot down. Apparently ludde isn't a fan of OSX tongue.gif which started a massive debacle between me, Firon and chaosblade.. with Firon stating OSX is "pretty but totally useless".. but that's another story.

So until someone experienced with cocoa offers to port uT to OSX.. it won't be happening anytime soon. Until then - Azurues remains the "best", (if you don't mind slow, bloated java shit).. or use Transmission. All the other clients well, suck.

waaa torrent, so izzy to use and damn briiliant, but soooo sad la, here in my place the network's firewall didn't allow us to use it..what a waste..but stil some of us manage to use it senyap2..nice one. biggrin.gif
