I currently have a cheapo Alpine head unit which I bought around RM300 last time.
I was rolling in SPL last time but now I gonna switch to SQ.
I changed a good 4ch amp with boston acoustic speakers.
My woofer is still 12" SPL woofer with monoblock but gonna change it in future.
And I got a cheap mohawk pre amp which I dont want to use it any more.
I want to change my head unit to a better one with USB input and 3 pre-out so that I can take the preamp away.

I need recommendation from sifu here on head unit with 3 pre-out and good sound quality within budget of RM1200.
prefer Pioneer and Alpine. Prefer new unit. thx rclxms.gif

Installed the 702A unit. My conclusion.
SQ top notch.
Radio reception extremely poor.
Poor LCD, not visible daytime.

Most of the aftermarket have lousy radio reception. I have yet to experience one that is good in my housing area(Stock HU excluded).

Hi guys, I will be installing my HU end of this month. Currently more focus on clarion 702A(RM10xx) and pioneer 80PSR(RM12xx). Which 1 is better? worth it to add another 2xx to get 80PSR?

another question guys... Should I go for active set up? Can every 4ch amp support active set up? Running Passive setup using 702a or 80psr will be a waste or not? is active setup easy to tune? How much usually pro audio shop charge for tuning active setup? thx
